I've wondered the same thing and have to admit that I watch for a good laugh. I think that at $10-$12 bucks a call, they would have to get a few thousand calls each to cover a half hour "infomercial." I guess they pool their money togther and film it at a studio in Vegas. Joe Phillips looks like a character out of the Sopranos!!! I love the fact that they kept talking about how " the Tennessee Vols covered easily over the Florida Gators last week"

The only guy I like somewhat is Mike Lee. He seems at least somewhat genuine even if he is a tout.

think about when these shows are on - early saturday morning for the most part when few people are watching anyway. might as well sell that time and make a few more bucks off it than running some stupid rerun or similar.

keep this in mind for these shows, though. SOMEONE out there is paying attention and calling - or else they wouldn't be doing these shows. if you think the people doing these shows buy the time only to be on tv - WRONG! they do it to get customers and make money - and if they weren't doing both - these shows wouldn't be on - for they couldn't afford it.

i will agree some of the people on tv should blow their noses every so often (guys like joe phillips talks all "baslay" ans sounds as if his nose is stuffed and it affects his voice) they are on for a reason and while we don't buy a word of the crap they spew - someone is!

The best show for a good laugh is Root's show "The Winning Edge". Talk about a meeting of egomaniacs - Root, Copick, McMordie who sounds like a talking robot - Ness is the only guy who is somewhat believable. Once in a while you'll pick up a good stat or trend but basically it's a joke. The best is Root's commercial for his exclusive club where only "high rollers" can join and the benefits include private golf outings with Root and his "friendship"! No lie - it's a classic spot.

You are right that Root show is freakin funny as hell, he's like the tony robbins of the wagering world with the copter and the cheesy shots of him. I'm only surprised he didn't enter the cali governor's race

I love how he stands in front of "somebody else's" golf course mansion during the spot - hilarious! By the way, I'm certain the thought of running for Cali-Gov crossed this guy's mind. Absolutely no doubt! He probably believes he can walk on water too...

Love this thread...That USA/Feist show costs upwards of 75,000. They are entertaining though. I listen to the morning radio show out of vegas with Trushel. That show does have some very good information.
Good luck to everyone this week...last week for what its worth 12-2-1 combined

i saw part of this show on line recently and almost died laughing!

btw - wayne root - you promise a lot of free stuff on your shows. i hope you deliver when asked for them - because someone on this site who pays attention to things like that and calls services who offer free picks and don't deliver is paying attention and it wouldn't shock me if that person (whoever he may be

) took you up on your offer and if you try a "bait and switch" with this person he WILL expose you for what you really are!

Try to get ahold of the guy when he looses, he had a deal one year if he lost the rest of the season was free. You call to get your fre season and the guy says the games we will give you or the lowest rated plays and you will loose, so for five thousand you can get or golden plays incuding our bowl game of the year that will win by 30 points, how in the hel do theyu know who will be playing in the bowl game.

All of these guys are frauds. They act of people's greed and desperation. I agree that it is kind of interesting to watch these shows for a view laughs. Apparently, there are enough people who do not realize that "if it is too good to true, than it is" and therefore these shows attract customers.

quote:
the games we will give you or the lowest rated plays and you will loose

If they say something like that, OMG!!!!

So wait a minute, these ARE your plays right, and you KNOW they lose RIGHT??????

Then YOU ARE KNOWINGLY GIVING OUT LOSING PLAYS???????????

Is it just me or is something wrong there and how could that pitch EVER work with ANYONE??

I'm thinking, If your IQ is high enough, you don't buy into it. If your IQ is low enough to buy into it, then you probably don't have the money to pay.

(obviously, I'm wrong and they are making tons of money)

SAD....
