what would you do. the pilot did all he could to save your ass. would you take the 5k and move on ,or would you try and make a living on the lawsuit. i know as lazy americans we always looking for free ticket.

and in all honesty do you think the judge will give up much money. you know theres more to it than just saying pain and suffering. most wont follow up with conciling or whatever else would go with it.
how much is enough??

In all seriousness, who exactly is liable for a freak flock of geese bringing down a plane ?

Fair enough, reinbursement for your flight ticket and any luggage lost or damaged + hospital bills (assuming most isn't already covered in your travel insurance policy) but I dont see how the airline should really be held accountable for "emotional distress" felt by the passengers.

Especially, in this case where it wasn't really that bad of a crash - in terms of injuries sustained anyway...

Well they definitely should not get 1 million each, but they certainly are worth more than $5,000 each. Each should get at least $100,000 in an out of court settlement

passengers should be paying the pilot 100k or more for saving their lives. whatever a life is worth is what they owe the pilot.
