I need La -1.5 for the fourth quarter to win the $3,000.00 prize. Does overtime count as part of the fourth quarter??? I need to know, cause if it does, I am going to hedge with an ingame bet. If not, well I already lost, and dont want to make that bet. Please help asap

overtime never 'normally' counts in a 4th quarter Bet....So I would say in the COntest...OT would not count for the 4th quarter...

That would figure. The lakers will probably win by 10 in ot just to rub it in. I thought I had this one nailed, but once again The Fakers stick it to me.

Hopefully Rio's rules are different or at least for the contest they are. Wishful thinking???

Sorry you lost. The rules on Rio's site:

"Quarter Wagers:

On special games, wagers are available on quarters. All wagers must go the full period. Quarter wagers are calculated the same as a straight wager unless otherwise indicated. There are no teaser plays or buying of points on quarter wagers. On quarter wagers, overtime periods are not included as part of the 4th quarter."

Maybe I'm missing something here. If you wanted to hedge your bet, why didn't you do it after you won the 3rd Q and before the 4th started? Coulda guaranteed about $1400 or $1500 if you had done so. That is, unless the 4th Q line was Det +1 or less, in which case you woulda had to risk getting Polish middled. What was the 4th Q line, by the way?

Both Olympic and 5Dimes had the Lakers -3 for the 4th quarter. This was between the 3rd and 4th quarters. Before the game, the line ranged from -1.5 to -2.

Thanks Picasso. Well, I guess that leaves me miffed then. I don't see why Tomorrow's News didn't consider hedging right after winning the 3rd Q, especially with this positive spread between the lines (+3 and -1.5), which provided a great opportunity for a huge middle. The hedge wouldv'e guaranteed a win of over $1400, and the middle (which wouldn't have won, but almost did) would've provided a payday of nearly $4500.

If one is in a position to hedge such as TN was who else besides Olympic and 5 Dimes takes ingame bets on the 4th quarter? Not that I expect to ever be in that position but would be crazy not to hedge I think.

Pinnacle has done it in the past, but I haven't seen them do it this series (except for an overtime line in game 2). WSEX has their in-game interactive betting. Intertops also has what they term Live Betting, but the vig is a ridiculous 40 cents.
