I'm scared of this guy when it comes to big games, especially as an underdog. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't OSU have a roster full of 4* and up recruits kids from Florida, Texas and California? This may be irrelevant but something to throw out there. So with that OSU has some speed to keep up with the Ducks Offense. Thoughts? Be nice people.

thanks for the reply KAP...but I am leaning that way also. Missed the 7 boat, but hoping it goes back up to 7. Funny thing is that consensus has Oregon at 59% - 60% and line dropping....Again may be irrelevant

buckeyes are fast.... i feel safe in saying they have more "team" speed than oregon. when the ducks are on O Freeman will be the fastest kid on the field but when osu is out there, they will have multiple threats. I look for ohio state to do to freeman what the did to cooper from bama. he will have a man on him where ever he goes, just have not figured out who. with allen off the field that is a big loss for oregon, it gives the defense the ability to man up on freeman.

elliot is from st louis and they do have others from all parts of the country, as mentioned above. i will be watching dontre wilson monday night. he has been hurt since the michgan state game and has not played since, he is the fastest kid on the team. interesting thing about him is he hails from the state of texas so this is a homecoming for him, bigger than that is he was signed with oregon up until chip kelly left. then meyer convinced him to flip, playing him as the H back on offense. ( its what piercy harvin played in Florida ) when he is on the field it adds another level of speed they currently dont have and they really stretch the field with him. he is very active on O but not always as the ball carrier. on defense you guys recruited as athletes now playing defense, sophmore lb darron lee was a qb in hs, the other night he got the defensive mvp from his lb spot. he is a soph. vonn bell @ safety was thought to be a bama signee out of georgia but he flipped to osu. freshamn lb raekwon mc millia was another out of georgia thought to go to bama they landed, but bama also got the best kid out of ohio last year.. not to get long winded and to answer the question they do have kids from all over the country where as when the vest was there you might 2/3 kids from outside the midwest.

they will need all the speed they have to run with the ducks, should be a fun game to watch..

Freemon is not very fast all. So I'm going to assume based off that comment alone you really probably know very little about the Ducks.

Don't waste your time with these fools who thinks OSU covers and wins the game against the Ducks. Nobody in this site has posted any insights as to how OSU will defend against the "no huddle" offense of the Ducks. It's hard to contain a team for 4 quarters with that "no huddle" offense. Not to mention, #8 Mariota is very fast in the field. I see the Ducks pulling away in the 2nd half and OSU & the hands of OSU defense will be on their knees, very tired.

With Allen out Thomas Tyner is easilly the fastest Duck, in High School he set the state record for 100 meters as a sophmore and has a best of 10.35. When healthy him and Freeman are as good as any RB combo in college football.

As the biggest Oregon homer on this forum, I can say osubucks has been practically a fan of ours. Same with me, I have been rooting for Ohio St and was a supporter that this is a playoff team... told osu also early in the season , not to give up when things looked bleak

You CANNOT be serious are you? Again, tell me how OSU defends against the "no huddle" for four quarters. I don't care if you have backed the Ducks before since Nov, it doesn't mean anything. I'm not a homer of Eugene at all so your assumption above is very wrong, I'm a USC homer. I won money on ur team last week & also against Wisky. As some of the OSU homers in this site just like YOU, I'm certain you won't have an answer to the subject matter being asked, which is, HOW WILL OSU DEFEND AGAINST THE "NO HUDDLE" OFFENSE OF THE DUCKS FOR 4 QUARTERS? When you're able to answer PLZ DO NOT reply with some STUPID "fighting words" like above.

You keep bringing up this same subject about Oregon's no huddle. How is Oregon going to stop Ohio State's running game? If the Buckeyes are able to run all night on the Ducks, what is Mariotta going to be doing? My guess is he'll be on the bench watching the game.

Did you see how Oregon's defense created those TO/fumbles against the defending champ w/ the last year Heisman? Now, answer the question being asked, before I bring it up again. "My guess" is Oregon will create turnovers & capitalize as they did against FSU. Mariota will be in the bench as TOP won't matter for the Ducks while OSU runs all night to no avail, but score FG. Nuff said!

Who says Oregon can't run all day against Ohio St?

Ohio St gives up 3.9 yards per rushing attempt, Oregon 4.1. Ohio St averages 242 rushing yards a game, Oregon 241. When it comes to running & stopping the run these two teams mirror each other.

48 of 73 offensive touchdowns this year took less than 2 minutes so Mariotta sitting on the bench is something Oregon and Mariotta is use to.

You obviously haven't been handicapping very long. That is a simpleton's approach if your capping games based on turnover margin.. Look back at the bowl season and look at how many teams with a + TO margin number lost their games. I've got news for you, there are a lot. Now go back and look at how many teams covered as dogs who out rushed their opponents. There were a lot. This bowl season those dogs were 12-2 ATS with most of them winning outright. You would have made a much better argument with me if you had said Oregon will out rush Ohio State. Chances are if Oregon does, they will win and probably cover the game. The better rushing teams control the tempo of the game, and keep the high octane offenses at bay. That is the name of the game in college football. It's why you don't see any Texas Tech type of teams in the National Championship game. They can't run the ball. Florida State was also a bad rushing team. They averaged only 129 yards per game. Ohio State averages 261 ypg. They'll be a entirely different type of opponent for Oregon.

Ding ding ding, I got you rattled. No worries, shud OSU cover ATS or win the game I will be the 1st one to create a post to say, I was wrong and the right play was OSU. Will you do the same for Oregon backers if they cover the spread? We shall see!
