A 57-year-old man was busted for allegedly shooting “upskirt” photographs at the Canadian International Air Show.
Toronto Police said spectators became suspicious of a man around 3:35 p.m. Sunday while watching the show from Ontario Place.
“He was in a public viewing area and while everyone else was watching the sky he was allegedly snapping pictures of the crowd,” Const. Tony Vella said Monday.
“People were concerned that this man might be taking photos of children, so they reported the behaviour to officers who were nearby,” he added.
The officers asked to the man’s digital camera to see what he had been shooting.
“As they scrolled through the images, the officers allegedly found photos of female private parts, specifically their crotch area,” Vella said.
Pictures of two victims, a 30-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl, were allegedly saved on the camera.
Bruno Lombardi, of Richmond Hill, was charged with voyeurism for sexual purposes.
Police are urging anyone with information about the case to call 416-808-1400, or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
