It's a little scarey when you look at it in those terms isn't it? I'm not quite on that level but when I sit back & actually look at the amount of real $$$ I put out in bets a year it's kinda freaky......

I guess that's the buzz & I fucking love it!

A really poor year 05/06 season just completed. UP just 6.4% to stake. 2004/05 was UP 24.11% to stake.

I must be losing it - seriously this is the first year in 8 that I haven't been above 15% and it is really worrying as betting more volume is next to impossible with the restrictions I have at UK books.

Total bets $290k give or take
Profits 13,230 includes 2,000 poker and 1,500 in scalps

Returns 4.6% gross or 3.3% if you take off the poker and scalps

This time last year I was enduring my worst ever run and nearly $10k down for 2005, which I got back to a $5k profit. So for those guys not doing so well right now my advice is:

1. Be patient.
2. Demand more value than ever from each bet. Leave out the marginal ones.
3. Stake less on each one until the bankroll rebuilds.
