so far i am on...

Almeida -140

Cote will make a mistake and this will be over quickly. I think with Cote being on a little winning streak and Almeida being relatively unknown this line is a lot lower than I would expect. Cote really is a very over rated fighter who has not faced much decent competition (the one wild card being Grove, but the jury is still out on him.)

i like this play as well and most likely will be on it. i am just trying to decide how much because i don't want to dilute my rampage bet :toast:

Cote for me. He's the better fighter and his jui jitsu game is pretty damn good training with BTT Canada. He can avoid subs and control the standup. KO.

Almeida started off as a +110 dog actually (on CRIS).

I'm not sold yet that the Big Dog is back. Yes, he won his UFC debut, but against Yundt, a lousy opponent (look at Yundt's opponents). That fight unfortunately did not tell me anything and it's been 4 years since he was last in action.

Almeida is too much of an unknown commodity so I'm passing on this one.

cote may win but i couldn't disagree more with your reasoning other than controlling standup.

That was a long time ago and Cote has evolved by leaps and bounds. I know it's not a 2nd or 3rd degree black belt from Renzo but Fabio Holanda at BTT Canada is no slouch and Cote's ground game is pretty damn good. I think it's at least good enough to not get subbed. Cote has a wrestling background as well as better standup. I think Almeida eats one and crumples.

the ppv will air the 5 main fights which are

Quinton Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin
Patrick Côté vs. Ricardo Almeida
Joe Stevenson vs.Gleison Tibau
Josh Koscheck vs. Chris Lytle
Tyson Griffin vs. Marcus Aurelio

They will usually are 1 of the under card fights if the ppv is running short.
