not sure if this is going to be for the week or just for tomorrow but i am bored and have some time so i am starting it now.

last years record for the regular season was - 120-88 +40.8 units

i don't have something official for the playoffs but the last one posted on the forum was something around -12 units, the playoffs blew hard.

anywho always love betting and watching the association and while 06-07 was a bad year for me 05-06 and 07-08 both showed a nice profit so hopefully this year will as well.

if i fall in love with something i will bet it for 4 units but otherwise it is 1 and 2 unit plays pretty much the whole way with a 3 unit job mixed in here and there.

personally i run .5% units so do with that what you will.

i think the lakers are going to have issues for the first little bit of the season, at least against playoff contenders. kobe is one of the only guys in the league who can really sink his team by not taking his allotted shots. everyone has seen the games, sometimes infamous, where kobe facilitates more than he creates and with bynum and gasol and sometimes odom as well on the floor i expect kobe to open the season dishing more than he should.

the blazers will be in a similar boat as far as seeking out an identity when they face the best teams in the west but they have a ton of youth they can fall back on. also everything i have seen to this point tells me they will use Oden as a defensive anchor more than a scorer which could lead to a lot of rebounds which are the catalyst of fast break points and this is a young team who has the legs.

all in all i think this one stays close and probably goes under the total but i expect the blazers to have a shot to win this one late.

fwiw everything i post will be a widely available line at full vig. i know not everyone has a ton of outs and i prefer my record to reflect what someone who might tail be experiencing. typically if you shop you will find a better line than i post.

1* bynum -2.5 p+r over oden -125

oden has actually put up some numbers in the preseason that could justify this but the guy has not played a minute of regular season nba yet and if the lakers have any sense at all they get him in early foul trouble. this is slightly contradictory to my side for tonight which i hate doing but this justifies it.

1* gasol under 26.5 p+r -115

his number from last year justifies this number but i don't think he is going to be as effective on the boards with bynum in the game and i expect the blazers to make it difficult inside to score.

i will see if i am kicking myself at the end of the night for not playing kobe under 42.5 p+r+a.. the number is too high but it is shaded to the under.

the thunder are going to be really bad this year but first game in the new city against one of the cellar dwellers of the east on a back to back? i wish the bucks would have won tonight, that would have made this that much sweeter but oh well.
