Just can't see OSU with the poor offensive line, mediocre secondary and not being able to stop the run against the better atheletes of USC, even with a freshman QB.

I see Pryor running for his life against USC and making poor choices in his throws. Their running game is mediocre at best and cannot see them covering 6.5.

Willing to hear thoughts on OSU if anyone has them picked.

I will take OSU for half a unit just as a pure contrarian play. I have seen nobody on em' yet so I am sure the books will need OSU pretty bad. It's just a half unit so why not? I will just close my eyes, grab my balls, hold my breath and bet em'

In case you don't know, the line dropped from 6 to 5 shortly after it opened. I don't understand why for the life of me but I grabbed 5 while I had the chance.

also pointing to the navy game, navy is not a bad team, pretty sure they get bowl game again. I mean there D is almost all seniors and are always well prepared. They are not an easy out.
Plus state probably was looking ahead a little bit.

So idk, hope for a good game myself

These guys held Texas to 24 in the bowlgame last year

13 SS Anderson Russell
12 CB Chimdi Chekwa
12 DL Cameron Heyward
11 FS Kurt Coleman
10 DT Doug Worthington
10 DE Thaddeus Gibson
7 DE Lawrence Wilson
6 LB Ross Homan
6 DB Jermale Hines
2 DB Tyler Moeller
2 DT Todd Denlinger
2 DT Dexter Larimore

Now they are back and facing freshman QB. I dont think they get torched. (and excuse me if someone is hurt or such on that list, just copied their D returning starters)

I believe the under to be the play here. Veteran D of USC vs. versatile OSU offense and strong running game of USC will drain the clock. Barkley will be tested by OSU's quality DBacks. I like the under...turnovers will be numerous IMO.

HMMMMMMM....
Did OSU practice ALLL summer vs Navy or USC?
I LOVE OSU....everybody likes USC....very hard to play in Columbus on SAT NIGHT.....FRESHMAN QB.....Take the points.

HMMMMMMM..... the USC Freshman is quoted as saying "the hardest thing about the San Jose game was running up the tunnel at halftime." That will not fire up the WHOLE OSU team.

I'll take OSU, good D against a freshman qb and I would expect two turnovers from USC throwing alone. They are going to have a much harder time running the ball against OSU than they did against SJ and IMO what this is going to do is force Barkley to beat them in the air which I don't think is possible. I'm thinking the value here is with OSU but if Barkley is just that goodas some say he is (untested so far btw), then USC will pull it off but until proven otherwise I'll take OSU at home on saturday night + points.

If OSU goes up early and starts forcing USC to throw a lot you all better be prepared for a long game. This is anything but a lock.

BTW someone said line dropped from opener of 7 to 6, I saw the line open at 4.5 and jumped to 7. I'll play OSU + the 5-6 but at 7.5 I'll be thinking about putting 2-3 units on them.

Maybe good value for teaser on OSU and under for a unit also.

NO, NO, NO! Ohio St's weakness are USC's strengths. Ohio St WILL have no answer for USC's running game. Ohio St is weak up the middle defensively. Larimore and Worthington at the DT spots aren't good at all. Rolle at MLB is about 5'8 210lbs....no joke. He is a DB playing MLB and he will get exposed because of his size and Ohio St's inability to prevent USC's OL from getting to the second level. Being able to run the ball for USC is going to be king. I see USC ripping 6-7-8yds PER CARRY! This will take all the pressure off of Barkley and allow USC to throw him whenever they want to, not when they have to.

Ohio St cannot run the ball. They couldn't do it against Navy and they WILL NOT do it against USC. Their best running plays will consist of protection break downs and Pryor running for his life. Pryor is a very unproven passer. They will have to pass in order to move the ball and I am not convinced he can do that effectively enough to keep the game close...

USC wins this game and they win it big. Be advised those of you backing Ohio St. I know this team as good as anyone who is not legally allowed to be associated with the program (lol). They are doing some things differently during practice (personell canges and some scheme changes) but it isn't going to be enough. Ohio St isn't the best team at making adjustments on the fly....they will have to do that Saturday. That is scary.

L5Y, USC is 4-0 vs SEC, outscoring them 167-48!!!

First of all...that is a moronic statement...no disrespect intended, but it was. For the USC game last season, Pryor had NO Spring practices (he didn't enroll until Summer) and he was taking BACK-UP QB reps...he had about 5 weeks of practice under his belt....as the 2nd string QB...so it is unfair to use what he did or didn't do against SC last season...

As for where he is in comparison to Vince Young now...I don't know...remember that VY had a red-shirt season and rode the bench for part of a season before he was the starter...jury is still out.
