What i dont get is
the teams avrages are
USA 95pts/game
Autralia 86pts/game
total=180pts
Yes I understand they may play more defence in this game
but still
that is 28pts over the line
with the same logic
the line of the Mens Usa-Argentina yesterday
should have been Under/Over155
since they have about the sames stats then the women match-up of today
Why for Women
they are projected to score
20% less pts for both teams
than normal
and not for the mens games

Because USA and Australia scored that many points against lesser opponents. In womens world basketball there are 3 top teams #1 USA #2 Aussie #3 Russia. #4-#100 changes every year and they suck. This is not the NBA, scoring averages mean crap here. Thats based off 7-8 games. Did you see how many points USA scored versus Russia????????? Its not a horrible bet, however, it is never worth betting big on a over/under, if you think the game is going to end within 1-8 points. PLay it, but do not bet your load on it. I will be on the under (very, very small), goodluck.:toast:
No, I am simply waiting for the line to continue to raise. EVeryone likes both overs it seems. Both have already raised at least 1.5 point on my book. My favorite play is Russia at (-8), then USa (-8) and lastly the China under. I will have a play on the usa under, but for .5 unit. Look up the last 3 times USA played Aussie and see the scores. Tell me if you still like the over. I did not.
I agree with PB. That 138 is so damn hard to take the UNDER on. I think wait on the movement, if any. I think it's a win-win situation to wait.
As far as the USA/AUS game, I think the play is the over. They gave up almost 60 points to a defunct China offense who pretty much shot poorly and played poorly.
USA women scored 67 points against the best defensive team in the tournament, while shooting 33% from the field. Australia won't give USA the defensive troubles.
I like both USA -8.5 and the over.
I like Russia -8 and MAYBE the UNDER...waiting for the line to move, cuz it's a win-win situation to wait.

USA will not be able to score on Aussie like they did against other teams. Vice and versa. They have played each other before within the last 4 years. USA will have to slow their pace a little to insure high percentage baskets. If the line was in the 140's it would be a lock. It being in the 150's and bound to increase, Ill wait for the under. I got suckered into the USA +24 against russia. I am not getting suckered into that over. It is do able and I would not be surpirse if it hit. Thats why I am betting very small. :toast:

hno:I don't like looking back to over a years time. Players like Parker, Fowles, Taurasi, and Lawson weren't around in that span. I'm not saying they're going to score 100pts, but the points will certainly come easier. Also, against Russia it wasn't as much of matter of them not coming easy versus them missing NUMEROUS layups, and NUMEROUS free throws.

the cruelest part is i was going to buy a point before i made the -5.5 on spain, but i was confident in spain to win by around 10-13 pts
Me too. I thought they would win by at least 10 points. I always buy the half point. I have been gambling way too long not too. :lol:
