hilarious! Poor Illini nation...no undefeated season...still 30+ years in the making..now all they need to do is bow out in the tourney. Play like they did today and they will in a hurry. Wouldn't have beat an 8 or 9 seed with the way they shot today.

I agree, Shrink. Many jealous fans out there would give their left nut to enjoy a story book season like we have. Pretty obvious who one of those fans is in this thread. One glitch and no perfect season, but it will still be a year I'll never forget. And this team will be very ready to play come tournament time. They'll bounce back.

You ask those guys in Illini's locker room if this game was irrelevant. That meant a whole heck of a lot to those guys and I applaud Ohio St on doing something special today. The game should have been irrelevant to them but they treated it the right way and beat the UNDEFEATED Illini. Outplayed them and wanted it more than them. They had nothing to play for, the Illini had more than everything. Undefeated seasons don't happen and Illini blew their shot at something special. Good job Thad Matta and THE Ohio St University!

cmon my friend. to say that this game was IRRELEVANT is being a tad childish and stubborn. today, it was established that ILLINOIS can be BEAT. that is not a comfortable feeling for illinois going into the tournament. and it gives other teams some type of motivation to know this team is beatable. a VERY significant loss today.
