If BTJ is not banned but rather on post review as BAS states, why doesn't he come in here and plead his case with a post? We could have a new thread with a poll and everything. Come onnnnnnnn, that'd be fun.

How come every time a poster ask a direct question like this to a mod, they dont get a direct answer?
Just a dance around that is neither a yes or a no.

Meanwhile the thread dies out and nothing gets done.

Then the forum gets deader and deader and more boring by the day because this place has absolutely no personality whatsoever anymore.

VD asked a very direct question.
This is not the 1st, 2nd, or 10th time this question has been asked but there is no yes or no answer.
Absolutely nothing has been answered definitively about the question.
VD has exactly the same info he had after asking the question as he did before asking the question.

I hate to break it to the powers that be of the this forum.
But this place has gotten to be as boring as shit.

No its not because its not football season.
Its not because its the off season.

Its because this place has lost ALL, not most, but ALL of its personality.

I do think people of his type should be allowed to post on this forum.

I am running out of reasons to visit this place.

And im not alone.

Many people have already said bye bye a long time ago because its boring.

So go ahead and give me my dont let the door hit you on the way out speech that you guys have given hundreds of other posters before me.

But the problem is, you guys are running out of people to give the "dont let the door hit you on the way out speech to".

You are about 20 posters away from having a complete 100% ghost town in the offshore forum.

Oh yea I know.
This is where im told the sports forums is where the traffic is at therx.

This is simply not true.

The sports forums are not 10% what they use to be.

The baseball forum is a ghost town compared to 5 years ago.

Only reason its not as dead as the offshore forum is because its starting point was higher then the OSF was.

But percentage wise the baseball and all the sports forums are dying the same death the offshore forum is.

And one of the main reasons for that is getting rid of the personality of the place.

People like BTJ are very valuable.

You have to have vilains. You have to have people that people hate.

You cant have a forum full of nice people.
Thats boring as shit.

Justin would put BTJ or any other RX old-timers in their place very quickly.

First thing justin would do was say who the fuck are you BTJ?
I never heard of you therefore you are not important.
Whats that?
You only have 2 RX points?
You suck.

Even though BAS stopped by to chime in, he is off today & tomorrow and usually has many things to do on his personal time.
So his opinion will or would be given when he decides to.

But again, Jim isn't even banned, just on Post Review, and hasn't even attempted to post in long time...

I have not quarrel with you choptalk but you are 100% incorrect wrong. Most of the traffic here is in the betting forums. And since its a betting forum that's exactly how it should be. I just looked and TheRx had a full page and half today in the baseball forum. Do you know how many eog had? 4 posts. That's right! Four! People see all of the posts in the offshore section at places like eog and are fooled into believing it is busier when that is the farthest thing from the truth. They are dead and it takes everyone posting garbage in one single forum to make it look like its busier than it really is. So the fact is this place is still busier than most and one of the main reasons I continue to stick around is because of the sub-forums, not the offshore forum. Im not saying I don't visit the offshore, but its not really as important to me or most others than the other sections. And yes every forums activity is down, and yes its slower everywhere until football season. But that's every forum and TheRx still has more activity now overall in all forums combined and that will remain true when football returns. I've also heard that sponsors don't like the garbage that's posted on the main forums at sites like other sites allow and I have to agree as do a lot of posters who have voiced their opinion. If you notice it is always the same posters who pop up every now and then who want to bitch and complain about what is allowed at a forum, or how its going downhill, but all of the regulars continue to roll along. None of this is meant towards you personally choptalk just because I replied to you, but whether you admit it or not you are completely wrong about your analogy you posted and the numbers don't lie. I hope you have a good night.

You completely misunderstood everything I said.

I did not say the sports forums were completely dead.
I just said they are not what they were 5 years ago.
You spoke of a page and half in the baseball forum today.

5 years ago it would have been 7 or 8 pages.

As I said in my last post, the sports forums have always been busier then the offshore forum even during therx greatest heyday.
I never said otherwise.

What I did say about the sports forums is that even though those forums are not dead(never said they were) they are still trending in the same direction as the offshore forum.

Only reason its not as noticeable is because the starting point in the sports forums is so much higher.

Just like you alluded.

The baseball section had 1.5 pages today.

I remember 5 years ago you could start a thread in the baseball section and 20 mins later if someone did not make a post in your thread you would be on page 2 in twenty minutes.
That is a fact.

So 1.5 pages in a day is not shit compared to 5 years ago.

Now is 1.5 pages more then EOG or others? Yes.
Always has been. EOG has never had a sports forum worth talking about in any sports so this has nothing to whatsoever with therx.

But the trend in the sports forums is going in the same direction as the offshore but like I said earlier not as noticeable to the untrained eye due to its higher starting point.

And your right.
Numbers dont lie.
1.5 pages in an entire day is not nearly as good as 1.5 pages in less then an hour 5 years ago.

Yes you're right about the activity being down compared to years ago, but as mentioned, that is everywhere, not just here, so it's not a trend happening only at this site. Come football season I am willing to bet once you post in the nfl and college forums that your post will be pushed back within a matter of minutes. I say this because I remember it happening all season long last year when I would look for certain posters. Come around 12 Central time everything you see on page 1 is suddenly on page 2.
I guess until some things are made legal again in the states the traffic will remain slower. Even if just poker was opened up again it would create easier ways for players to get money back and forth to sportsbooks. Hopefully it will happen in the near future.

I agree some of the problems are not self inflicted.
But I do think people like BTJ should be allowed to post.

So what is your opinion, are you against taking him off PR? Surely you understand that post review is almost like being banned, no one is going to waste their time posting, hoping that the mods will show mercy and allow their opinions to be heard.

All we ask is that you address the issue directly, Bean hasn't tried to post because why should he, he doesn't need to kiss ass to be heard, he wont beg and promise to be nice, why should he? He's served his sentence and should be given the same freedom as other posters. So he riles people up, big deal...a politically correct forum is no forum, at least not one that most RX'ers want.

Agree with this, why would anyone bother posting if they've been put on PR? We're all adults here, if someone was censoring me I'd just be like fuck it and go elsewhere. He's a grown man I'm sure he wants to either be able to post without conditions or not post at all.
