Don't bet baseball myself, but the Brewers have looked like a major-league team offensively the past week. They are averaging better than 7 runs a game over the past five after floundering the entire season. Geoff Jenkins finally is doing something, hitting .447 over the past 13 games and he is a streak hitter who spent the first five months of the season in a slump. Brewers want to finish with a better record than last season after playing decent ball the first half of the year.

Brewers recent offense is precisely why I pulled the trigger. You have a low number due to year long offensive numbers and matchups. Oddsmakers can't put high total up b/c they'll get uneven action on under. Umpire trend is the kicker that makes this a good play (vs. just a value play). And you have to like Pits pitcher in this spot......

Sorry guys, Umpire doing his job but hitters not coming through. So many swings at pitches out of the strike zone. Williams looks like Cy Young today.Funny how that these perennial minor leaguers/occasional 5th starter pitch gems at the most inconvenient time, eh?
