No problem..sometimes these plays hit and sometimes they miss. The one over UMP that I might take on the under is Sea @ Balt. The Ump is an over ump but has gone over 7 times in a row...Under might be the play.

I decided to not play that game...but I hope the over hits to prove my gut feeling wrong.

I usually try to put the ump stat in combination with the starting pitchers (if they're mediocre AND I'm getting an overs ump OR if they're good and I'm getting an unders ump) and the ballpark (hitter's or pitcher's). Trying more of a general and simple approach as of late. Of course coming here and snagging a pick or two from time to time doesn't hurt (I do some basic looking around but if it looks good I jump on it).

The ump numbers always help. Thanks again Max.

Max,

The guy behind the plate for the Astros game, I believe it was Miller has the largest strike zone in the majors. Did you see the game yesterday? The players didn't complain at all because he called it that way the whole game against both teams I couldn't believe it.

I watched that game on TV here in Houston and yelled at the TV a couple of times. He was calling strikes at the bottom of the knees and higher than the chest. The astros could only fault themselves...especially Bagwell and the bullpen. They were down 3-1 w/ 1st and 3rd loaded early in the game w/ Bagwell up to bat. And he takes a call 3 strike down the heart of the plate at 94MPH. Back in the day he would have crushed the ball over the fences. We need to win today against Hampton...hope we do.
