Ukraine Election Controversy

It seems this thing was rigged from the start, so the Russians could keep an eye on Ukraine. This could get ugly fast. Where will the US stand on this matter, or do they really care?

Perhaps they are taking notes on how to rig an election?:hump:

Wasn't Yuschenko favored at Pinny with most of the money moving towards him or did the line change later, I didn't follow the betting that closely.

The country is totally split in half.
The orange want the West, the blue want Russia.
The Blue dudes are mainly Russians (from the Soviet union era)
The Orange dudes are mainly Ukrainians.

Doberman: the US government (and the majority of democratic nations at this point) have said that they don't recognise the Yanukovich 'win' and are claiming the election to be fraudulent. Almost all international observers claim to have witnessed fraud at the ballot box, including switching boxes and giving voters disappearing ink.

Yesterday, the Ukraine parliament denounced the election results, though I don't think this carries much weight legally speaking. The matter is to be decided in the Ukraine high courts.

Does anyone know how Supreme Court justices come to their position? Are they appointed officials? I would worry that they will be as corrupt as their exiting leader ...
