YAWN.

One week after backing out of a fight with an unclear rule set, Floyd Mayweather is apparently getting back in to a fight with Tenshin Nasukawa – with a set of limited rules.

Mayweather said today he’s in line to fight Nasukawa in a “little boxing exhibition” with no kicks allowed. The undefeated boxer did not say whether Rizin FF remains the intended promoter, though the Japan-based promotion said it was working with Mayweather after its original plans collapsed.

No word on when or where the bout will take place, but Mayweather really sold the website on its competitive merits.

“I’m moving around with the guy for nine minutes, and of course it’s gonna be the highest paid exhibition ever,” Mayweather said.

Rizin flew the famed pugilist out for a big press conference and a face-off with Nasukawa, a kickboxing sensation who stuck up for the fight by telling Conor McGregor he would avenge the Irish star’s loss.

Then Mayweather did an abrupt 180 and declared that he never agreed to a public fight with Nasukawa. Instead, he claimed the bout would be an exhibition for wealthy benefactors.

Mayweather may be getting what he want with an exhibition. Now, he only needs the money to make it happen.

“It’s a no-brainer,” he said. “Just because I’m retired from boxing, I still make appearances worldwide and make a ton of money.”

Golden Boy MMA chief and retired boxing champ Oscar De La Hoya dismissed his former opponent’s move as a ploy for attention. He said Mayweather would never really step up to fight in MMA and told his rival to stick to boxing.

The injuries continue to pile up for members of the UFC roster—this time affecting the UFC’s return to Adelaide, Australia in an interesting way.

A rib injury forced “Irish” Joe Duffy off the UFC Fight Night 142 card. Originally scheduled to face Ross Pearson, Duffy was opponent-less for much of November.

The search for an opponent wasn’t the easiest for the promotion, but the UFC finally zoned in on M-1 Global Lightweight Champion Damir Ismagulov.

Less than a week after Ismagulov signed his name on the dotted line—making him the first Kazakhstani fighter in UFC history—Duffy was forced to pull out.

Duffy has not competed since UFC 217 last November, when he was finished via strikes against lightweight contender James Vick.

There is no word whether Ismagulov will remain on the card or will be rescheduled for a later date.

That's what Dana / UFC wants but there isn't much behind the rumor

McGregor and Nurmagomedov can’t and won’t be booked until their issues in Nevada are sorted.

In all honesty I could careless about a 2nd fight right now. Conor doesn't deserve an immediate rematch and he had nothing for Khabib. I see a repeat of first time around ... Another embarrassing performance from the Irish cock licker.

Rachael Ostovich, who was scheduled to fight Paige VanZant in January was attacked in Hawaii, she's being hospitalized for major injuries.

Ostovich was in Honolulu when the incident took place. She's believed to have suffered a broken orbital bone.

If she did, in fact suffer a broken bone in her face, it would almost certainly mean her January 19 fight with VanZant at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn would be off.

Her husband punched her.

Seems like most who utilize it turn into garbage, and even miss weight...lol

Will admit, though, haven’t totally kept track of it

Rising star Kayla Harrison will look to improve to 3-0 before the end of the year.

Harrison will meet Moriel Charneski (3-4) at PFL 11 on Dec. 31 in New York ... The fight will take place at 155 pounds.

Harrison, the two-time Olympic gold medalist in Judo, won her professional MMA debut in June and followed it up with another victory in August. She's considered one of the brightest young stars in female MMA.

The promotion has already announced that she will take part in their first-ever female 155-pound tournament next year, with the winner set to earn $1 million.

The event, which will feature the finals of the PFL's inaugural season in six different weight classes, will take place at the Hulu Theatre at Madison Square Garden.

Arnold Berdon has been arrested on an attempted murder charge ... now in custody according to the Honolulu Police Department.

Ostovich was due to face Paige VanZant at the UFC’s first ESPN event on January 19th, but in a statement released on Tuesday, Ostovich’s management team confirmed she is out of the fight. It’s unclear if the UFC will pull VanZant from the January card, or seek a replacement.

The attempted murder charge against Berdon could be changed later on and he is yet to appear in front of a judge. Even if Berdon is cleared of the charges and released, a restraining order means that he will not be able to come into contact with Ostovich. If convicted of second-degree attempted murder, Berdon could face life imprisonment with the possibility of parole, per Hawaii law.

I like this, and I have really enjoyed the PFL Tourneys so far. Doing more for their fighters than the UFC does right off the bat. It's sad, really...

Totally agree. I have been enjoying these PFL tourneys as well

I think these other organizations are going to attract more and more UFC fighters. The UFC threats their talent like complete shit and pays them peanuts.

I'm a pretty big fan of Harrison, sure her MMA career is just starting but she has the tools to blossom into a great fighter.
