Yep Yep! Of all drugs, cocaine, the easiest to get out of your system at 48 hrs. Dude must be a daily user. Changing his fight name to Fishscale.

Couldn't Cormiers camp argue it helped him gain an advantage in terms of making weight or something? Would be kinda tacky and semantics I guess

I know it isn't a banned substance but seems like that would have legs no?

JJ belongs in HW and its a scam that he has been in LW all this time. He would have no chance to compete in HW, JJ and the UFC know that. Never ever seen a fighter walk around 225-235 and drop to 205 for so many years. Wonder how he was able to do it....:coke:

yes, cocaine certainly is something that helps athlete's fight better. it is one of the most destructive substances you can put in your body, it is amazing that he still won any of those fights while using that drug. i don't know when it started, but that crap helps nobody do anything but destroy their body.

If you do just a tad bit before doing heavy physical duty it will help you, short term burst of energy, not for stamina or long marathons. A tad bit before having sex is a great booster. Bourn, can you follow from here?

His mom just reported Jones left rehab after only one day.

He left to watch his brothers play in the AFC Championship Game. I don't see an issue with it. It's not like the guy was coked up everywhere he went. Probably went out with buddies and made a bad choice. He's never been popped on fight night for anything. Personally I stay away from the stuff but I'm not really concerned if a guy parties a little too hard every once in a while between fights. Gotta remember that coke wasn't supposed to be tested out-of-competition at all. Who knows how many other guys get popped if they get tested for this stuff between fights. Diaz brothers wouldn't ever make it to fight night if anyone cared about drugs out-of-competition. Much ado about nothing.

its pretty obvious what happened I think.

He tested positive for coke and he can't just be like "Yeah I'm 25 and rich so I do that shit recreationally cause models like it" so he went to "rehab" even though he probably has no issue

Purely a PR thing

Keep in mind this was a test over a month before the fight. Guy just partied too hard. Made dumb choice. UFC wasn't supposed to test for pot/coke during these out-of-competition tests anyway apparently but somehow results got out. It's not like he was using as a performance enhancer. He'd get caught if he used on fight night. A month out is also too early to start cutting weight. Guy just went out and did something stupid with friends at a club.

Exactly. If he wasn't the champ this would be a blurb and everyone would move on. UFC wants to save his image because the story got big.
