RAFAEL DOS ANJOS -270
(MICHAEL CHIESA VRS RAFAEL DOS ANJOS) (UFC ON ESPN+ 24 - WELTERWEIGHT 3 ROUNDS - PNC ARENA - RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA)
MONTEL JACKSON -700
(FELIPE COLARES VRS MONTEL JACKSON) (UFC ON ESPN+ 24 - BANTAMWEIGHT 3 ROUNDS - PNC ARENA - RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA)
Michael Chiesa is a gate keeper at best, he will never fight for a belt, his last two wins over Diego Sanchez and Carlos Condit don't justify him stepping in the octagon with Rafael dos Anjos. a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Aldo "Caveirinha" Januário and Black prajied in Muay Thai under Rafael Cordeiro. I don't even think Diego Sanchez trained for the Chiesa fight. Rafael Dos Anjos fights better at welterweight but unfortunately his size and reach makes him the smallest fighter in the division, Dos Anjos faced Leon Edwards on July 20, 2019 at UFC on ESPN 4. He lost the fight via unanimous decision but he went the distance. Rafael dos Anjos cardio is solid, and he can take a punch, he's one of the most complete fighters you'll ever see step foot inside the octogon. He's good everywhere, he can fight on the feet, wrestle, grapple, in the clinch, everywhere. One of the best Muay Thaï in MMA also.
Two month after Montel Jackson the win over DiSciullo, Jackson made his promotional debut on 11 day notice, replacing Benito Lopez, on August 4, 2018 against Ricky Simon at UFC 227. He lost the fight by unanimous decision. Ricky Simon is a high level grappler. Felipe Colares is a step down in competition for Jackson. I think Jackson best weapon is his stringing right jab, his footwork is outstanding and the way he using his elbows in the clinch to conserve energy well. He has a brutal guillotine choke. I was at the fight when Jackson faced Andre Soukhamthath at UFC 236. when he won the fight by unanimous decision.
