Im in a good mood I just finished watching Portugal trash Cape Verde 4-1 so im hoping UFC tonight keeps me in a good mood as well.

Chael Sonnen +235 over Jeremy Horn

I've never been a fan of Horn who last time out got lucky to win a close decision so ill take the chance on the Oregon all american wrestler in this fight and hope he can throw Horn around. Note this fight is not on the live edition of the PPV so you have to bet it early.

John Alessio +405 over Diego Sanchez

Sanchez isn't a monster since most of the guys he has been put up against have pretty much been found at the local bar so i've been hoping to catch a line one of these days where the upset is possible and i believe this is it. Should Sanchez well yes but do I think he is a 4-1 shot to win no so ill take a chance.

Matt Hughes -293 over Royce Gracie

Truth be told this is going to be a boring fight. Hughes isn't going to want to go to the round against Gracie and Royce isn't going to want to stand up against Hughes that isn't a good mix. Another factor that im going on here is that most UFC fighters in there contract get X amount to show up to the fight and an extra X amount to win the fight. Gracie doesn't have that in his contract i've heard he is getting paid the full amount no matter what he does tonight. So Hughes in a decision looks good to me and I also see this line falling as people are going to buy into the myth about the "undefeated" Gracie who does have a tap out chance to win but I side with Hughes.

Great stuff dmmd. I could not agree more with the Hughes pick but I am waiting for fight time since as of right now I am sitting on a -225.

I also like Sonnen over Horn and the public is hammering Horn so I will look for that at fight time as well.

As far as Deigo and Alessio I am staying away. Unlike you I believe Sanchez is the real deal, possibly the guy that knocks Hughes off one day. I think he wins this one easily and early but there is no way I am betting into an 85% breakeven bet.

The one I would add would be Swick over Riggs. Riggs is flat out over rated because of his explosiveness. I think Swick is sick and it will be an incredible brawl ending early in the second round. I got Swick at -115.

I also lean on Davis +230 as Guillard is over rated.

Good luck tonight!

We got hosed on Alessio. He should have taken that decision. Sanchez had two minutes of glory for the whole fight. The guy could never bring the fight to the mat. He sucked and had an awful night but the scoring system favored him for doing nothing I guess.

Gracie's record

:pucking: How in the hell do they justify showing Gracies record at 11-0???? I know of two fights that he lost. One of them was in the UFC!!! Do they think we forgot?

Oh.. he also drawed against Shamrock so his record should so 2 losses and one draw. Far from perfect.

He never did lose in UFC but you are right about the draw to Shamrock in his last fight in UFC before hughes. If there was a scoring system back then Shamrock would of easily won that contest and even back then the Gracie way of fighting was starting to get exposed. Basically UFC got one last big PPV buy rate out of the Gracie name kinda like they did with Tank Abbott two years ago when he got exposed by Frank Mir amongst others. Sorry about the two dogs not coming thru by the way, that Alessio match teased me.
