It would surprise me, Khabib Nurmagomedov is on another level now. Al Iaquinta is going to fight scared , there is no way to fight that, he is going to lose sleep tonight thinking about his how to game plan in 24 hours, Matt Serra is more excited about this fight then Iaquinta . “Al’s extremely well rounded,” Serra told MMAjunkie. “He’s been in there with some talented, talented guys, and he’s won. Al’s going to shock the (expletive) world, and this interview’s going to be worth something. … We’re never worried about Al mentally. Mentally this could be too much for a lot of the fighters. But it’s not too much for ‘Ragin’ Al.”

Let me translate for anyone who is not from Long Island, Nurmagomedov is going to run over a Al Iaquinta like a DOT steamroller or a Mike Tyson punch.

The Rafael dos Anjos fight was the turning the point from being another Al Iaquinta to being a monster. All we need to make this epic is for Nurmagomedov to come out to James Todd Smith in his entourage live "Mama Said Knock You Out" Don't call it a comeback. I been here for years. Rockin my peers and puttin suckas in fear. Makin the tears rain down like a mon soon

Khabib is likely to roll but now training for his 3rd opponent in a week, all the hoopla of this weekend, Iaquinta has ability to finish a fight. And Khabib is -700 now, just seems like a stay away. A lot of abnormal variables in play now.

Really sucks the Max fight got cancelled, I really do think Khabib was 95% to win that. Max was just picking up a check.

Thoughts on Poirier/Gaethje next week? Gaethje just gets hit way too much to compete at this level, Alvarez KO'd him and Michael Johnson came very close. Poirier is a very dangerous striker, looked great in his last fight vs Pettis, imo was on his way to beating Alvarez before the stoppage. I think as long as he doesn't get into a brawl with Gaethje that he should be able to slowly take him apart. Only -130.

No opinion on any of the fights tonight really.

Gaetje loves to eat punches. He just doesn't give a fuck. But how can you last if you're taking 30 massive headshots per fight?

Kudos to him for his ability to withstand bombs, but that is one of the dumbest strategies in the world.... unless you're a cement wall.

It's like that recent heavyweight fight with the Polish fighter. He literally gave away his last fight b/c of zero brains and zero strategy. I don't understand how these guys can be full-time fighters and their careers and families depend on the cash... but they make decisions opposite of what is best for their career. Why even train in the first place if you're going to throw away the match? Zero sense.

It's like these fucking basketball coaches who are down 5 points with 25 seconds and won't foul until there's 8 seconds or less left? You owe it to your fucking players to understand basic fucking clock management.

Anybody think JJ is mentally frail? She looks shook and all her bravado and fake confidence in the past... it never looked real.

Khabib has legit confidence and doesn't fear anything it appears. But JJ's confidence looks like it has been fake all along.

Iv have has this fight circled for some time, Gaetje was absolutely outclassed by eddie alverez, and could not defend hooks and shovel hooks to the body. Dustin Poirier is a horrible match-up, and will game plan well for Gaetje leg kicks and take this fight to the ground.
