Luke Rockhold ended Chris Weidman's undefeated record and reign as middleweight champion with a TKO win at UFC 194, but an immediate rematch has been booked atop the June 4th card at The Forum in Inglewood. Rockhold didn't want to fight at 199, knowing that UFC 200 would be a huge show, but guess what happened anyway?

In the co-main event, Dominick Cruz defends his bantamweight title against bitter rival Urijah Faber. This rubber match has seen Faber beat Cruz at 145 in the WEC in 2007, Cruz beat Faber at 135 in the UFC 2011, and now we'll see these two men battle it out (presumably) one last time.

The card is slowly but surely picking up some new bouts, including lightweight contenders Dustin Poirier and Bobby Green, as well as Evan Dunham against Leonardo Santos, which was moved from UFC 198 to 199 due to a minor injury for Dunham.

Luke Rockhold vs. Chris Weidman
Dominick Cruz vs. Urijah Faber
Bobby Green vs. Dustin Poirier
Evan Dunham vs. Leonardo Santos
Kevin Casey vs. Elvis Mutapcic
Luiz Henrique vs. Jonathan Wilson
Polo Reyes vs. Dong Hyun Kim

B.J. Penn vs. Dennis Siver slated for UFC 199 in Los Angeles

UFC Hall of Famer B.J. Penn (16-10-2 MMA, 12-9-2 UFC) will return from a two-year layoff to fight fellow featherweight Dennis Siver (22-11 MMA, 11-8 UFC) at UFC 199.

Penn, whose return was delayed by a third-party investigation following recent allegations from a former employee, most recently fought in July 2014, when he suffered a third loss to Frankie Edgar. It marked Penn’s featherweight debut, but he had little to offer Edgar in the new weight class, and he was thoroughly beaten during a third-round TKO loss. It pushed his winless streak to four and marked his sixth unsuccessful trip to the octagon in seven tries.

Penn, who will be remembered as one of the best and most important lighter-weight fighters in MMA history, retired from the sport afterward, citing his inability to compete at the top level any longer. However, he’s now back for at least one more bout.

Siver, meanwhile, recently suffered a unanimous-decision loss to Tatsuya Kawajiri and is now just 1-3 (with one no-contest/overturned win due to a failed drug test) in his past five fights. Before the recent skid, the 37-year-old Russian-German fighter was on a 6-1 run that included his move from lightweight down to featherweight.

The latest UFC 199 lineup now includes:

  • Champ Luke Rockhold vs. Chris Weidman – for middleweight title
  • Champ Dominick Cruz vs. Urijah Faber – for bantamweight championship
  • Bobby Green vs. Dustin Poirier
  • Evan Dunham vs. Leonardo Santos
  • Kevin Casey vs. Elvis Mutapcic
  • Luiz Henrique da Silva vs. Jonathan Wilson
  • “Maestro” Dong Hyun Kim vs. Polo Reyes
  • Tom Breese vs. Sean Strickland
  • John Makdessi vs. Mehdi Baghdad
  • B.J. Penn vs. Dennis Siver

I know Faber is washed up but those odds seem a little long. Cruz has been hurt so much and we know it is going to go to decision because of his fighting style.

imo Faber is almost a small auto play- Cruz will probaly squeeze out the 5 round decision but one cant ignore the +425. A bit high in price but over 4.5 @ -220 might be a decent mixer for a parlay

BJ Penn now faces Cole Miller at UFC 199

Following an injury to Dennis Siver, Cole Miller has accepted a short notice fight against Hall of Famer BJ Penn in a new fight announced for UFC 199.

Miller returns to action following a no contest in his last fight from December 2015 when his bout against Jim Alers was stopped due to an accidental eye poke.
