I didn't say his chin was iron at all. I said he should be commended for taking an ass whipping in the first round. I hope you really watched the fight. Both of Lesnar's eyes were swollen and he needed a cut man to close two cuts around both eyes. I'm not saying they were clean shots at all. I'm saying that Carwin beat the shit out of him the entire first round and if you watched the fight you can't dispute that fact.

Carwin connecting? He connected on Lesnar's face...that's what I saw but maybe I'm blind. Why would all these guys online and on TV say they thought the fight was going to be stopped if Carwin wasn't kicking his ass? Does that make any sense to you at all?

it should not have been stopped lesnar was defending himself and yes carwin hit him flush a few times but brock blocked most and was alert...a champion has to go 5 rounds not 1 carwin is a bum who should never fight for a championship.........
he will be an exciting fighter but no champ, congrats to brock and his backers he deserved to win that fight...

I'm not even exagerating when I say this but Brock Lesnar was hit for about 30 seconds straight and didn't respond with a punch or anything in return. Any other fighter in the UFC would've had the fight called at that moment and Carwin would've won the fight.

Were we watching the same fight?

He had money on Lesnar, and you had money on Carwin. So no, you two definitely were not watching the same fight.

The Lesnar bettors, the Carwin bettors, and the neutral UFC fans saw three different fights. I talked to a bunch of huge UFC fans that don't bet, and they all said that

a) Zero chance the fight doesn't get stopped if it's not Lesnar
b) They could kind of see why they didn't stop it

I think you're both right.

in a championship fight you're going to stop that???? thats what makes a champion.... he was always alert and defending himself watch the fight again and you should watch other championship fights and see if they stop the fight early if you find one let me know..
and yes I did have brock im sorry you took the wrong guy next time ask I'll help you out.

He was not defending himself but carry on and believe what you want. I didn't bet on the fight.

I wasn't saying you bet on the fight, if you find me a championship fight that was stopped when someone was defending himself you've proved me wrong its not going to happen.

Nobody ever has said that Lesnar was not hurt or that He wasn't in big trouble. Of course Lesnar wasn't responding with punches or anything in return. He was however not just laying there helpless and defenseless. He was very busy trying to block Carwin's punches and keep from being knocked unconscious ! It should be obvious to anyone that Brock did a very good job of that ! If a guy with the known power punches of Carwin was actually really hitting Lesnar square in the face for 30 seconds straight like you seemed to see happen.. Don't you think that Lesnar would be very near death and certainly unconscious ? Either that or Carwin has no power and couldn't punch his way out of a paper bag. The obvious truth is that most of his punches were not landing cleanly.

Well shit Kermit, I'm not saying he was lying on his back with his arms at his sides getting hit squarely in the face. I'm saying he was like a turtle on his back getting hit with bombs and Lesnar was attempting (very very poorly) to block them but at times was not defending them for about 30 straight seconds. It's a matter of semantics isn't it?

Post #48 "and yes I did have brock im sorry you took the wrong guy next time ask I'll help you out."

Dumb argument so let's move on.

Again, if a guy is just sitting there with his hands on his face and he's not responding with counter punches it's usually stopped. You have to respond by grasping the guys hands/arms or counter punch and he did neither for a long period of time. Let's drop it.

no, if you are alert and defending yourself they will not stop it, you do not need to counter punch or grasp.
last time, this was to crown a champion.
