Uconn ripped Cuse by 28pts earlier in the season and both teams are playing better as they wrap up their regular season schedules today.

I can see how you could take the position that Cuse will keep this one much closer since they are at home now and have a chance to make up for the whipping they took in CT.

But even if Cuse turns the tides by 25 points as compared to when they last met - they'll still have a tough time beating the Huskies IMO.

The way Cuse beat Pitt was by hanging around with them throughout and getting big buckets to fall down the final stretch. However the difference between Pitt and Uconn is that Uconn has consistent and reliable scoring, which Cuse can't keep up with.

I would expect Uconn to pull away early and ride Cuse out for the win - keeping their distance on the scoreboard from Cuse throughout.

The new-found defense of cuse doesnt bother me so much because Uconn can play that way if they need to.

The thing that scares me about Uconn is the inability to defend a strong diverse scoring attack, combined with a good defense - but I wouldnt put Cuse in the category of having much in the way of a scoring threat - with a streaky mcnamara and everyone knows what warrick can do - but beyond that what do they have?

Anyway I'm going with this as what may be my last string of bets for the regular season. The way I see it I'll either go out with a bang or I'll rake it in.

Uconn -4
Uconn ML -179
Uconn 1st half -2
Uconn 1st half ML -146

jaypaw,
Even putting the revenge factor aside, are you not the least bit concerned about UCONN's road performance in the Big East.

at Villanova - won by 1 ,no cover
at St. John's- won by 18, no cover
at Pitt-lost, no cover
at Notre Dame- lost, no cover
at Boston College- won by 5, no cover
at Va Tech- won by 36, covered
at North Carolina, lost , no cover
at Rutgers- won by 1, no cover
at Rice- won by 9, no cover

So out of 9 road games, they have covered exactly 1 time with their two biggest victories against lousy teams. If this game was at UCONN sure but I think even if they win, they won't cover based on their track record. Any thoughts? Either way I will still be rooting for you but just wanted to point this out. Also, in first meeting was Cuse's first or second game withou Edelin and they had yet to adjust. Syracuse seems to be peaking right now like most Boeheim teams do.

i'm with you jaypaw.

this line being 3- is a joke.

last three meetings

uconn by 13
uconn by 14
without carmelo uconn by 28.

who has syracuse beaten this year to deserve this line. oh yea, they beat pitt at pitt, eventually pitt had t lose at home, and if uconn only scores 46 points, syracuse would probably win. just don't see it.

uconn -3-

easy money.

Keep in mind that Okafor is questionable and probably doubtful... line doesn't look as nice then.

a string of terriable plays have just about pissed me off enough to pull the plug.

65% of my plays i've got covered by half, and lose just about everyone by the end, just getting sick of it.

even money on my plays and i would be fine the past couple of days, big plays have just killed me.

maybe we'll see what tomorrow brings.

and Im due to be right on one so hopefull the worst case will be that they win SU

wishful thinking but its the way I like to look at things

5-5 and another juice loss - these are the days that playing the juice bets hurts the most...

4 Uconn losses (2MLs, 1st half, and game BP)
1 Illnois loss (ATS)
1 illinois win (1st half)
2 kentucky wins (1st half ML and spread)
2 ginny wins (ATS, and BP)

ML bets - 1-2 (W of -236)
ATS - 3-2
ATSBP - 1-1

96wins-80losses on the season
(47 for 77 ATS)
(23 for 35 buying points (-170))
(11 for 23 on the 4 team 10 pt teasers [payout -120])
(7 for 19 - multiple team ML parlays and other teasers [winners of -235, -150, -130, -163, +150, +290, +350, +180, and +122])
