They are also playing a QB who once played at SDSt, and put up pretty bad #s if you ask me. Was something 600-700 yards, 4td, 6ints. They also said that just a couple days ago he threw 3ints in 3pass attempts in practice/scrimmage.

I think Tennesse and their aggressive DEF style could win this game pretty ugly. I'm not sure if UCLA can put up 3TDs.

I think Tennessee goes big time in this one.

UCLA has a good defense, nothing ELITE. Look at their defensive ranks from last year. Their pass defense was pretty much below average at best. Ranked 70th.

14th against the run
70th against the pass
29th total
29th in scoring

UTs DL is pretty weak so don't go thinking it's something that it isn't. The Vols also lack depth - not quality depth, but BODIES - at just about every position on the field.

From what I've read and heard, the guys who were unhealthy last year in their front 7 are now healthy and they are out to show everyone they are here on a national stage.

Yea looks like you havent done your research....The Vols starting DLine is solid, but your right they lack depth there.

They are deep at CB with Willingham, Rogan, Gaines, and Johnson. All with starting experience.

They have probably the best Safety duo in the nation with Berry and Morely.

At LB they have All SEC caliber LB in McCoy along with McKenzie, Wilson, and Myers-White. The X-Factor here is Gerald Williams. He is #57 and has waited 3 years to play for Tennessee. Look for him.

On OLine they return their top 6 linemen...same line that was best in the nation last year at preventing sacks.

RBs led by Foster who will break the all time Tenn rushing record barring injury. Followed by Hardesty who is oft injured, but has shown flashes when healthy. Sophmore Creer and true Freshman who battled all spring for the third spot.

WRs....Gerald Jones who is a huge playmaker. Taylor who had 1000+yards last season, Rogers, Briscoe, Moore, Hancock.

TE...they finally got Warren cleared by the NCAA and he is a freak. Also the backup Stocker has had a great spring fwiw.

It's the first game of the season, not too worried about depth.

Editor's question -

Would you posters like to read the injury report and weather forecast on the bottom of every college and pro football preview?

I think Dl is above avg but lacks enough depth. Plenty of depth everywhere else except maybe linebacker.
