Moving into a new place right out of high school can cause some anxiety for incoming freshman and it doesn’t really help when the new roommate isn’t the person you expect them to be.

One UCLA freshman, identified as Ashly, has already caused a rift after making some demands to her two roommates, that she hasn’t even met yet, in an email that has since gone viral, Fox LA reported Tuesday.

One of the roommates, identified as Winnie, who received the email shared Ashly’s message on Twitter earlier this month.

The email read:

“Okay so I’m not sure why neither of you responded back to my emails, but I don’t really care as long as you both know this and understand that I’m not going to settle for anything less than what I’m gonna tell you that I’m gonna get once I arrive in the dorm.

I’ll take the top bunk. I DO NOT want the single bunk where it has a desk underneath the top bunk so don’t try to leave me that. I’m also taking one of the white closets. There should be two white closes and I’m taking one of them. I don’t care which one it is, just know I’m taking one of them.

“I want the desk that’s near the window. Plain and simple. I don’t care about who gets the bottom bunk but just know that what I stated above is what I’m expecting once I arrive at the dorm and I won’t be in the mood for any arguing or other nonsense because one of you two decided to deliberately disregard this email. IF needed be I’ll turn it into a bigger situation so don’t try me.

“Sorry but not that sorry for the attitude. I don’t like being ignored because that’s just rude but that’s what you both decided to do so I decided to make it clear now on the kind of person I am and what I will and will not take.

“So as a final reminder: I am getting the top bunk of the bunk bed with the bed on the bottom, I am getting one of the white closes and I’m getting the desk near the window. That’s fair enough to ask considering that I’m giving up fighting for the top bunk.”

The third roommate, identified as Guistinna Tun, wrote back a day later to Ashly saying that her and Winnie were more than willing to compromise on the living situation, but called her out on her sense of entitlement and listed other things that they didn’t appreciate in the seemingly rude email.

A week later, Ashly responded with another email that was less harsh than her first one.

Ashly explained that she like that Tun stuck up for herself and didn’t mind starting over. She also explained her thoughts behind her initial email.

“I’m also really chill too, But as you can see from my previous email, I am like a ticking time bomb that sets off when things I don’t like happen to me.”

Ashly said she would move out and look for a different dorm if they wanted her to. It’s unclear if she did.

What a way to start your first semester of college.

Good for Ashly.

Usually that type of name makes you destined for the pole, so she must be doing something right by even getting to college. She had a lot to overcome.

Happens more often than you think. You often see entitled little girls, often a single kid type syndrome, walk into a dorm atmosphere and not use to it. Some learn from it and learn how to adapt in society, some become snobs like what appears Ashly did.

Yes she did. Have a BUNCH to overcome. In an interview with local FOX affiliate KDVR Ashley explained:

"that she like Tun (which is slang for "TOTALLY", in YoungPeople Talk) has a gigantic stick stuck up her ass.

And she went on to claim that she was Born That Way. That when she was born the Nurses remarked: "What is that? It looks like a STICK!

My God I've been a Nurse for 36 years been present at 1000s of baby deliveries and I've never seen anything LIKE that. What the heck is that? It looks like a STICK!"

Ashly's Medical Records weren't immediately available, to verify the presence of a stick but the way that she is acting now certainly leads one to believe that a stick was present.

Ashly went on to say “I’m also really chill too, its just this damn stick up my ass that makes me go off, say things I don't wanna say plus I am raised by parents with no backbone who gave me everything I asked for and JUMPED when I whined so.....maybe one of their backbones was The Stick? Or maybe if I was raised by Parents who set some LIMITS for me I'd be less of a completely fucked up bitch destined to destroy my life by abusing Prescription Meds but whatever....as you can see from my email, I am a ticking time bomb. ”

can't say I dislike her "take control" attitude.

Assertiveness.

Maybe, if you like that too, see when you're fixin to be reborn

if there is a Stick available

to stash up in your ass, bring here with you.

She could have gone about it differently but I don't think its that big of deal. College was the only time in my life past or present where I had to share a bathroom with someone. And I didn't do the dorms, I lived in an apartment and still had to get used to it and this was with my best friend from high school.

She wanted the top bunk, don't most prefer the bottom bunk? There were 2 closets for 3 people and she wanted 1 of them and a desk by the window. She should have just got there before the others, put her stuff on the bed, stuff in the closet, and stuff on the desk.

I thought dorms were 2 per room. With 3 people like that, situations probably arise like that all the time especially with girls.

Dude, I just laughed my ass off at this comment. "....destined for the pole."
