Not sure if we have any auto workers here. The leaders of the UAW is fucking you guys over. They just want to keep on milking the companies.

TheRightSide is going to be in deep here if this doesn't all work out soon.

Wife is getting worried. I said no worry MsRightSide I'll play poker. She didn't feel to secure hearing how a degenerate is telling her I'll just gamble for a living.

Ice please advise me on how to get the wife onboard. LOL Even though I have won consistantly and paid off debt with the winnings.

The UAW is screwing everyone over. Not much need for the suppliers on this side of the state.

TRS,

if you are seriously going to consider playing poker full time, take a look at online poker. i know it is against your religion but with more hands per hour and multi-table capabilities, you can win at a much lower rate and make more money......not to mention playing in your underwear!

Yeah I see your point shadow. Just seems like live casino poker I focus in on a few people at the table just from watching how they play. Its all about attacking the weaker players. Weak players have no clue how to play post frop. I feel that is my advantage.

I hope it doesn't come to this.

They have so much software out there nowadays that you will have way more info on a player online than live.

I kept a notebook with my daily/monthly/yearly results in it UPDATED EVERYDAY WIN OR LOSE and we disccussed it like it was a legitimate business. We had open talks a few times a month on how I was doing and she seen firsthand the results. I cant begin to tell you how important I think that was to her.

A lot of guys have asked me the same thing, how did I convince her, etc? There was no convincing need to be done at all on my end towards her. and zero hesitation on her end at all. She 100% trusted me cause she seen my results. I think that is so important. You have to take the time and keep records and show her how serious you are about it. I will say if I didnnt have a notebook with all the results in it she most likely wouldnt have went for it. Non-gamblers need reassurance as this is gambling to them so you have to make it look like as close to a legitimate business as it is, which it will be if you are going to do this for a living. My GF's only fear was leaving her family.

You only live once. It is a nice feeling knowing I dont care if the economy goes bad, etc. I dont have to rely on anyone but myself. Now this way of life also isnt cut out for everyone. Most people need that comfort of having a paycheck every week but look what ends up happening, you can lose your job tomorrow so really no one is 100% secure. My mom keeps telling me about this guy and that guy back in Michigan, who are all scared of losing their job, it is very very sad. I am working very hard right now at what I do but I LOVE it and you cant replace that feeling, even if I dont make as much money as my last job (and that may very well happen). If you do decide to go for it I think you wont regret trying it. There is a feeling of freedom that you can't put a price tag on.

TTinco is contstantly saying how the poker scene in Vegas is so beatable. He is about the 5th reputable guy I know in vegas who say the same thing. You do have to put your hours in and that could be downfall with this as I dont love the game like I love handicapping, betting, etc. He says most of this is late night stuff, which is not good for family life. I will probably go full bore at it after CBB is done.

I've been a UAW member for 15 years and i can honestly say that i have been screwed over more by the union than the company that they are ''protecting'' me from. The only thing they bargain for is ways to stuff their pockets.

NYC my friend

nothing totally tanks in the Big Apple

9/11 couldn't bring it down, and even with the financial crises (no city hit worse), things are "relatively" good.

PS: you'll be between AC & the CT Indians

Nah...Florida, brother

During the coming decade, there will be so many refinances of residential real estate property, as well as routine buying & selling that Mrs TRS should have little trouble securing full time work.

Meanwhile, you can gamble and also likely find good blue collar stuff at decent wages to further your migration out of the dead end rust belt of Michigan.

I didnt see any of the AIG boardmembers or Bankers take paycuts...did you?

their wages are comparable to Toyota and Hondas pay... its managements fault for not investing in gas friendly cars as Toyota and Honda did so the employees have to get screwed over???? I dont think so...
the republicans love to blame the unions..dont be sheep people..

Lot of blame to go around but unless you believe that people are rotten and will never do right, it has to be managements problem.

Japs are getting it done. Big cars, small cars they are kicking our ass.

We do not have one company in this country that knows how to build a small diesel engine and the turbo diesel VW's are getting 45 miles to the gallon.

Is that labors fault?

Women don't want a guy who relies on gambling to make a living.

Anyone who suggests that this man try and make a living playing poker instead of getting a real job with a paycheck is pretty much an idiot.

iceman, I'm not your daddy but what I will tell you is this, things are great now because its new but this life is going to wear on your gf eventually. I don't know of one guy that is involved in the game full time that hasn't been divorced. Maybe one.
