The Miami Heat re-signed guard Tyler Johnson for four years and $50 million in July.
That's a lot of money for a 24-year-old (or anyone), a fact that did not escape young Johnson.
According to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel, Johnson said: "I threw up a couple of times when I heard the number go out there. I was in shock."
Johnson tested the waters of restricted free agency, but the Heat ultimately opted to match the Brooklyn Nets' offer for Johnson.
"It's a great feeling to know that you're wanted somewhere. They showed me how much they wanted me to be a part of the organization by matching," he added, per Winderman.
Johnson has averaged 21.6 minutes and 7.4 points per game in two seasons with the Heat.
