exactly..there is a much bigger margin with just taking florida to cover. you saw what these EXACT SAME 11 defensive starters for florida did in the MNC last year, holding one of the most explosive offenses in history to 14 points! every single one of them is back, bigger, stronger, and more experienced and disciplined. And did you watch tenn play UCLA? they are not exactly 2008 oklahoma. While florida probably does score 50-60 points by themselves, this thing could very realistically end up 49-0..

I actually think the Vols QB plays better in this game. But I still prefer the under. Tennessee's defense just isn't going to let Florida run it up and down the field on them all day. I think too much is made of Kiffin's remarks. If memory serves, didn't Harbaugh say the same kind of shit about USC before going down their and beating them as 40 point dogs? Words mean nothing to me in games like this. All of this stuff goes out the window after the first 10 minutes of play.

GS, couldn't agree more. After the initial adrenaline rush wears off, this is just two teams trying to win a football game. Kiffin's players will be playing their asses off to try and keep their coach from looking like a (total) idiot. Perhaps his comment was made as a way of goal-setting and motivation? Bold predictions can also do a good deal for accountability. Anybody forget the Tebow speech after the Ole Miss loss last year? As it stands, it's something that will go down in CFB history, but what if Florida loses to LSU two weeks later and then lays an egg in the Cocktail Party against UGA, not even making it to the SEC championship game or the BCS? That would be a great "Best Damn Top 10 Bold Predictions Gone Wrong", wouldn't it?

Fact of the matter, no one is giving UT a chance here, and that can be dangerous. I think FL still wins this game and Kiffin is still an idiot, but I think it's something more like 24-14, as long as UT's special teams can keep FL from scoring quick points via the return game. All the focus here has been on the atrocity of the Vol offense and none on the strength of the UT defense which only allowed the UF offense to score 23 points last year even though they were given a short field to work with all day.
