This is the IL St Redbirds game of the year. This team has played two bad games leading up to this, but this is their freaking SuperBowl and since I do believe they are live to win the conference tournament, this game is big, in addition to the revenge motives from the last umpteen times they have played Wichita. Actually competed very well at Wichita a month ago. They can win this game, and I believe they do. I feel the line should be Wichita -2, and would make a small play on ISU at that number, but the 4.5 is a nice surprise.
Evansville has just played like garbage as of late, needing a tight 2h to squeak out a win against the worst team in the conference at home. Just no rhythm at all and not the same team they were earlier. They do have an excellent coach, probably the best in the conference, that will get them back to a darkhorse for the tourney before it starts in March. But not today. SIU will emphasize defense and make Evansville take tough shots, a recipe that has shut them down the last 3-4 games. Evansville won by 9 3 weeks ago, but SIU -1 is a strong play.
No locks, just +EV plays, IMO. Good luck fellas on whatever you bet today. Hope it's a bloodbath in Costa Rica.
