TWO ELITE SPORTS BOOKS OFFERING STRONG INCENTIVES TO JOIN 09/02/03 - The Shrink

http://www.therx.com/nm/templates/article.asp?articleid=1207&zoneid=2

With the NFL regular season beginning this Thursday, many gamblers are looking for trustworthy places to send their money. Hollywood and Skybook/Rio, two of my favorite sports books, are offering gamblers much more than just a flight to safety.

Whenever I travel to Costa Rica, I visit as many bookmakers as possible. However, there are only a select few I hang out and dine with. Both Hollywood and Rio are on this list, primarily because their main guys are my type of people.

In fact, both Hollywood and Skybook had the audacity to throw their annual Christmas party on the same date last year. That forced me to bounce back and forth because each had something unique to offer.

The same holds true once again, as both Hollywood and Skybook want your business. They are a ‘lock’ to get mine.

For the first time in its seven year existence offshore, Hollywood is offering gamblers a choice. They can opt for the customary 10 percent sign-up bonus, or they can choose to have reduced juice on virtually every sport instead. That's correct, Hollywood is now allowing gamblers who bet online to lay minus $1.07 on football sides and totals instead of the customary $1.10.

It should not take a rocket scientist to figure out how much money a gambler will save when laying three cents less than is customary. In my opinion, it is worth significantly more than a 10 percent sign-up bonus. Surely, a gambler must have one ‘out’ with reduced juice to have a realistic chance of winning at sports betting.

In the other corner, Skybook/Rio has also been around for many years. The sports book prides itself on customer retention and satisfaction. The book’s claim to fame, besides the ability to pay out in a timely manner, is the free half-point it offers on football and basketball sides and totals.

If you have ever lost a bet by that dreaded ‘hook,’ this is a chance to get back at the bookmaker. The value of being able to move a football game down from 10 to 9 1/2, or a hoops game up to three from 2 ½, is enormous. Skybook is the only sports book that does this, so I would imagine some other books believe it is too risky to offer.

Skybook will also be sponsoring a weekly football contest on our posting forum. Gamblers must have an active account of at least $300 in post-up money to enter the contest. Each week, Skybook customers get a free shot at winning $20,000 if they can correctly pick 10 NFL games against the spread.

If some lucky individual wins, Skybook will cut the purse in half each week. If there is not a winner by the last game of the regular season, the highest number attained in previous weeks (most likely 9 of 10) will battle for two free tickets to the Super Bowl and first class airfare and accommodations.

I believe HOLLYWOOD SPORTS BOOK and SKYBOOK are a MUST for gamblers to consider when opening an account this year. They both cater to the recreational gambler as well as the ‘wise’ guy.

Both sports books do transfers with each other as well, making it easy to refill your account with a simple phone call to either book. Both owners truly like and admire each other.

If there is such a term as "friendly competition," it applies to these two fine individuals who are the aorta of each enterprise.

Hollywood prospective clients can go to their website at www.hollywodsportsbook.com or call them at 1-800-220-0002

Rio/Skybook, prospective customers can visit their website at www.skybook.com or call them at 1-888-SKYBOOK.

Posters would be crazy not to open up an account with SYBOOK, not only for their free half point offer, but to be eligible for the 20 thousand dollarContest beginning this week in the NFL only here at our forum!!!

In other words, since this contest is not located anywhere else, there will be less people competing for the moolah!

As for Hollywood, the 7% reduced juice is a BRILLIANT move in such a compteitive industry and like Journeyman noted above, it is worth FAR MORE than a 10% sign up bonus in the long run....

I could do the math for everyone to see it's value, but I will save that for a later time...

Scorpion,

I'd call up Hollywood and ask to speak with Wally or Will about it...

I am sure that either one of them will make it happen...

Great books. We need more books like these two.

Is hollywood offer good for basketball also or is -107 only for football?

I PLAY WITH BOTH OF THESE BOOKS, AND NOT ONLY ARE THEY VERY GENEROUS WITH THEIR CONTESTS, BUT THEY VERY PROFESSIONALLY RUN AND THEY PAY FAST. WITH ALL OF THEIR PERKS, PEOPLE WHO PLAY AT THE GENERIC BOOKS ARE OBVIOUSLY JUST CONFUSED.

Skybook sucks! They've cold called me three times on my cell phone. First of all that's BS and I'm curious how they got the f*cking number. Any clues?

I've never posted my cell # anywhere on this site or on the internet.... that's why I'm curious how Skybook got it and cold called me...
The first time I got a call from them I told them not to call me again... since then I've gotten two more calls.
