Why the hno:??
If one were to invest in any type of farmland, quality corn farmland would be the first place any savvy investor should be looking at first, as it is THE crop in the USA.
USA corn feeds the world........
Dont forget about rice. Rice farmers have become very rich the last 5 years.
Corn: The United States is, by far, the largest producer of corn in the world. Corn is grown on over 400,000 U.S. farms. In 2010, the U.S. produced almost twelve billion bushels of the world’s total 27 billion bushel crop. Corn grown for grain accounts for almost one quarter of the harvested crop acres in this country, with the state of Iowa leading the way.
There are approximently 78 million acres of corn harvested in the USA yearly, compared to about 3 million for rice......
The weight of a million in cash is easily Googled. Basically a bill weighs just over a gram.
The better question is why we have the $100 as our top denomination now ? We used to have $500 and $1,000 bills that circulated as late as the 1960's. A one hundred dollar bill in about 1970 would be roughly 5X the value of today's $100 bill....so we have like a $20 bill compared to a 1970 C-note in buying power.
When was the last time a gas station refused a $100 bill on you ?
Need to keep the RX cityslickers aware of the latest farming trends.
Dante, no thanks, passing on the job front for at least a few more months, thanks for the suggestion though son.
