HELP! Seriously some of you I am sure plug their laptops into their TV's. I have an LG Plasma and I am using the RGB-PC input on it.

When I first plugged it in it flashed my desktop then said "Invalid Format"...

Surely some of you have run into this... any ideas how to fix it?

This does not answer your immediate challenge, but I'm certain it will solve for future if you don't get a positive resolution

I've been using it for past several months to watch video feeds off my puter

In the manual for the plasma there should be a list of resolutions it accepts via the PC input - make sure you're using one of those resolutions.

Haven't been on top of this kind of thing in awhile, but if my suggestion doesn't help I would head over to the avsforum and do a search on your model, as I'm sure someone there has addressed it (since, well, someone there has addressed pretty much everything in the AV world).

in this globalized world sometimes the silliest thing gets in the way

I dont have any experience BUT is your laptop from the UK or something like that....sometimes the PAL system used in certain countries conflicts with the NTSC that we use down here

probably not the reason but since it vaguely crossed my mind......

Sometimes mine does not work unless I reset the laptop after it's plugged in.
