I really do feel empathy for NCAA executives trying to keep their sport clean, but it is hard to fight human nature. When you get right down to it, sports exist because of our gambling nature so it is a futile pursuit to try to separate the two. The head of gambling (I forgot his actual title) comes off very naive when he talks about athletes avoiding contact with "known gamblers". Almost every college athlete in America is either a "known gambler" themselves or good friends with one who is living in their apartment or fraternity house.
