Played this one just before Lunch. Been busy with other sports and stuff here with wife, had a nice LONG writeup all ready and then it disappeared , so instead I'll just post this with a short snippet. In a battle of 2 evenly matched teams, going with the Dog here. I've followed Marshall since my University days, as I was involved in a few of these games including the 2001 GMAC bowl where my ECU pirates were up 38-8 on Marshall's Byron Leftwich team. Our QB was David Garrard, and interestingly both became Jags QB with DG replacing Lefty later. They came back 2nd half to take us to OT and win 64-61 in a heartbreak for us. Most also will remember that Marshall is indelibly linked to ECU as their fateful crash happened on way back from a LOSS to ECU, crashing on arrival in Huntington WV. We have a memorial at our stadium marking the event, so I've always had my eye on the marshall boys.

Nuff said.

Always loved that rivalry growing up and was happy to see Marshall join the Sun Belt. Saw them play App earlier this year and was a fun atmosphere - hope to go to their campus one day and check it out.

playing UTSA -7.5? No, esp with the QB news, think Marshall could win this game or keep it to within a FG game esp without their star playing, had them as close to even with UTSA edge at -3-5ish tops with QB Frank Harris. With the freshman QB I havent been able to grade or scout him but now its an even game to me. Hope that helps. now if shit goes sidewides middle of game i might scramble to find a middle then LOL

My book is late moving the line. I just played Marshall +13 and under 54 1/2. UTSA is a completely different team when Harris doesn't play.

happens to me a lot too, tonight i wanted to go MASSIVE BIG On western carolina. even did a brief writeup why they'd beat my former coach's team Jerry Stackhouse and vandy but i didn't. I added some to it later making it a top play but i think i forgot to notate it and didn't go nearly as large as i wanted to earlier. Also was going to replace canucks in nhl with bruins but didn't and of course paid for that. Frustrating sometimes.

A lot of backups of backups playing these games too (3rd/4th stringers) too and coaches scouting/giving reps for next year. In my day, the bowl practices were used for this with the extra 30-35 practices/scrimmages for the young guys. Get them more experience practicing with first team. Most freshmen, outside of the 1-2 studs, would only DREAM of seeing bowl action. NOW these fools are in the game and fudging things up. Big time.

That Marshall 30 yard FG was wide left by about 50 yards lol. Earlier they turned a 43 yard FG into 53 yards with back to back penalties.

and now they announced Rasheen Ali is having his carries LIMITED by Marshall coach. WTF is this BS? Either you play or you don't! they're siting him rest of game to "limit" him now? He had a GREAT 1st half....wow this dumb fool needs to be fired.
