To further illustrate his dominance, Buehler has struck out 31 while walking just three with the Padres mustering a paltry .125 batting average against him. His most recent outing versus San Diego came on August 3 when he threw a 15 strike out complete game yielding only 5 baserunners. With Buehler on the hill inside the division, Los Angeles has posted a stellar 9-1 mark this season. Tonight’s mound opponent RH Cal Quantrill was the starter in Buehler’s August 3 masterpiece and lasted just five innings as the Dodgers connected for four runs (two earned) and 11 total bases. LA has destroyed RH pitching this season ranking second in all of MLB with an .834 OPS and the Padres are limited to a pair of LH relievers behind Quantrill who averages just 5 1/3 innings per start.
