if it won't matter why not take ML at + money? A serious question, not trying to be sarcastic. Like Sixers tonight as well. GL.

Valid question. However, I like to keep it simple. I don't play ML's....I don't usually play over/unders...I don't do parlay's or teasers or shit like that either.

Sometimes I do write-ups, but that shit gets confusing to people. And if you read peoples write-ups sometimes...you wouldn't know who they are picking when you get done reading it.

my 2 cents.....Moneylines are fine for small dogs in every sport except NBA. Nothing scientific, but years of experience tells me to take the points. PERFECT example last night with Golden State getting 1.5 or 2 at home. I expected GS to win and that was my bet, but after leading most of the game and having several chances to win in regulation and ot (GET a defensive rebound would you!) I would have wanted to vomit in my mouth if I would have had them on the ML. Lines are tough enough in the NBA that I will always take the extra bucket.
Just my 2 cents.

Thanks Yanni. I am sure that there is no statistical difference long term on those types of things in any sport. To me it is just a personal preference. I know many guys who will only the play the moneyline in football if they are getting 2.5 or less while others insist on buying up to 3. I just prefer to take the best line I can get and roll with it. Too much second guessing and thinking about how to make the play than figuring out what the right play is to begin with. To each his own.

Totally with you on the points vs. ML question, Arizona. I took GS last night, and was watching the ESPN scoring website. I couldn't believe it that GS blew it in overtime with seconds left to play. Glad I had the pick at +2.
