Florida St. (-3) @ La Salle
Line Source: scoresandodds

I am not sure as to why this line is only -3. I understand it's the start of a new season, oddsmakers are trying to adjust to how teams play. Everyone is getting their jitters out of the way, excited for a new season! But it's the ACC versus the Atlantic 10. Florida St. is a young team, but I believe they are a little more talented then 3 points versus La Salle. Florida St. is coming off a 18-13 season and 7-9 in conference play, while La Salle comes in off a 14-16 season and 8-8 in conference play. However, one thing that stands out to me from this La Salle team is the 59-55 victory of Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) at the begining of last season. Yes they won the game, but it's very important to mention they only won by 4 points here. I live seriously 2 1/2 minutes away from CCSU campus, I'm well fimiliar with this team and the things that go on around campus. I understand CCSU made the big dance and lost to Ohio St. by 21 points.. I bet Ohio St. that day.. the line was Ohio St. -20.5.. I won by half a point.. but that's besides the point.. Florida St. would crush CCSU if they played each other. And unless things change, or that game last season was just a bad game for La Salle in their 4 point victory over CCSU.. then I see Florida St. winning this game by 13+ points. I believe the line is soft here and that it's a oddsmakers error.. I'm laying the points with Florida St. tonight..

FSU beat Lasalle by 5 last year in FSU with a better team last year. Not saying they won't win but the line is about right

Not saying which side I like here - already said I don't really have a lean in another thread...but I will say I hope more analysis than simply La Salle barely beat CCSU at the beginning of last season, FSU would destroy CCSU went into this pick. You talked about last season the teams records and their conferences...all well and good...just saying I don't think the CCSU has much, if any, bearing on this game personally. Good luck with your side.

Buffalo @ Canisius
3* Buffalo -3.5

Northern Colorado @ Colorado
3* Colorado -6.5

Montana State @ Colorado
3* Colorado -12

Arizona State @ San Diego State
3* Arizona St. -3.5

UAB @ Arizona
1* UAB +5

Cleveland State @ Washington
1* Washington -10

Youngstown State @ Maryland
1* Maryland -20.5

Tulane @ Texas
1* Texas -22

Davidson @ Oklahoma
5* Oklahoma -3.5 Play of the Day
It's going to take a very good day from Davidson's defense in order to pull an upset tonight. Both teams check in ranked in the Top 25. Nothing against Davidson and Curry but I believe Oklahoma and Griffin is going to be to much for Davidson to handle on the road. In a game where Oklahoma could possibly get 4-6 points in the final minute off free throws, im going to lay the points with Oklahoma. Let's note that Davidson is 0-12 on the road against opponents ranked in the Top 25 since the 1996-1997 season.
