Missouri has a very young team this year and they struggled last night against another young team last night, the Forte-less Brown, and that tells me a lot. They return five top 10 scorers from last year (3,5,6,7,10), and three of those 5 guys are sophomores. They will have an up and down kind of season this year, and they should not be favored by this many points against anyone this year, especially against C-USA, who has a great underdog ATS record vs Big 12 over the years. Houston is not much more experienced this season, but at least they return six top 10 scorers from last year (1,3,5,7,8,9) and two of those 6 guys are seniors (including the #1) and two are juniors. They also have a good coach this year, who made his living on taking bad programs and turning them around. They struggled against SHS last night, but that was no surprise for me, as SHS returns almost all of their key players from last year. SHS was picked to win their conference this year, and they were more excited about that matchup than Houston. I had that line at HOU -2, and I expected a tight game, and a tight game it was. For today's matchup, I think Missouri -6.5 is the more realistic line.
