With Milwaukee and New York slated to complete the back end of a home-and-home on Thursday in Milwaukee, going to look for New York to at least stay inside of the number today in this home game to open the Christmas NBA card.

New York is riding a 4 game straight up losing streak, and they have dropped 9 of their last 10 games overall, covering just 2 times over their last 10 games, still, I feel this is too many points to be laying by the Bucks on the road today.

Milwaukee could not win on the Madison Square Garden floor back on December the 1st when they were favored by 8, as the Knickerbockers won a 136-134 overtime contest that night. That straight up loss did snap a 6 game winning streak by the Bucks over the Knicks, but keep in mind that against the spread Milwaukee is 1-2-1 the past 4 showdowns, and just 2-6-1 overall the last 10 times they have faced New York.

The Bucks did have their 4 game winning streak snapped on Saturday in a road loss at Miami, as Mike Budenholzer's team is just 2-3-1 against the spread their last 6 games -- all of them as the favorite. They are also 6-8-1 against the spread on the road this season - that includes the loss to New York to start the month.

This is most definitely a sweep-able pair of games for Milwaukee as New York is clearly not going anywhere this year, but with this being a road game on Christmas Day, I will look for the sliding Knicks to show some pride in front of the home crowd and at least keep this one within the pointspread.

These teams have been scoring buckets leading up to this X-Mas Day clash, and I figure it will continue today on the parquet floor.

Philly enters having landed in the Over column in their last pair of games, and 4 of their last 6 games overall. The 76ers have also gone Over in 2 of their last 3 away from home, with the Over standing at 20-14 for Brett Brown's team this year.

Boston enters with Overs in their last pair as well, and 5 of their last 6 overall. The Celtics have also played Overs in 6 of their last 8 in front of the home crowd.

I'll take my chances here with Boston covering the short number here at home against the 76ers. While the Celtics aren't sitting on top the Eastern Conference like a lot of people expected, they have been playing much better of late and are a strong 10-5 at home this season. Philadelphia is also not a great road team. The 76ers are 16-3 at home compared to just 6-9 on the road. Not only are they not winning, but they aren't covering, as they are 5-10 ATS away from home. Philadelphia is 3-14 ATS in their last 17 road games vs a division opponent and Boston is 12-3 ATS in their last 15 home games vs a division opponents. Give me the Celtics -4.5!
