MLB | LAA vs TEX
Play on: UNDER 10 -115

Tuesday MLB Bonus Play. My selection is on the 'under' between Los Angeles and Texas at 8:05 pm et on Tuesday.
I'll back the 'under' in Arlington on Tuesday night.
Andrew Heaney will take the ball for the Angels. He tossed six shutout innings last time out and has now worked at least into the sixth inning in four straight starts. Note that the 'under' is 7-5-1 in Heaney's 13 road starts, with those games reaching an average total of less than 8.8 runs.
Mike Minor will counter for Texas. He has worked at least into the sixth inning in five straight starts, and has allowed only two earned runs in 12 innings pitched over his last two trips to the hill. Note that the 'under' is 4-1 in his last five starts overall.
Both of these teams have enjoyed some success at the plate lately but I'll go the contrarian route here as I believe we're dealing with an inflated total. Take the under (8*).

MLB | Angels vs Rangers
Play on: Rangers -112 at 5Dimes

The Angels took yesterday's series opener but the Rangers should return the favor this evening. Both starters were sharp last time out. However, while Minor has been "consistently sharp" of late, Heaney's previous couple of starts had been terrible. He's still got a poor 5.71 ERA and 1.558 WHIP his last three. Minor, by comparison, has a 3.06 ERA and excellent 0.792 WHIP his last three. He's now 4-1 with a 2.78 ERA his last six starts. For the season, Minor is 5-3 with a 3.30 ERA and 1.013 WHIP in 13 home starts. Heaney, on the other hand, is 1-5 with a 5.06 ERA in 13 road starts. Also, while the Angels haven't seen Minor since 2014, the Rangers pounded Heaney (again) less than three weeks ago. Heaney would give up six runs on 10 hits in that one. In his last three starts against Texas, he's allowed 15 combined runs in 13 2/3 innings. In addition to walking six batters, he gave up 24 hits, six of them leaving the park. That gives him an ugly 7.88 ERA and 1.959 WHIP in five career starts vs. Texas. Prior to yesterday's game, the Rangers had scored 25 runs in their previous three games compared to LA managing just eight. All things considered, this line could easily be higher. Consider Texas.

#MLB FREE PICK FROM MIKE LUNDIN
This play is based on an undisclosed totals system which has generated an ROI of 15% so far in 2018.
In addition we can note that Diamondbacks left-hander Robbie Ray (4-2, 4.55 ERA) has given up only one run in each of his past two starts and he has this Padres roster limited to a .220 batting average through 118 at bats. Padres left-hander Joey Lucchesi (7-7, 3.59 ERA) is coming off back-to-back quality starts with just a total of three runs allowed through 12 2/3 innings of work.
Arizona has lost four in a row and six of eight, during which it has scored 14 runs. Under is 19-6-1 in Diamondbacks last 26 overall. Under is 6-2-1 in the last 9 meetings at Chase Field.

7-Unit Play. Take #609 Phoenix (+4) over Seattle (10 p.m., Tuesday, September 4)
The Mercury will not go away quietly. They came storming back in game four erasing a seventeen point lead to force a decisive game five tonight in Seattle. Diana Taurasi keeps adding to her already legendary career with this playoff run. She is one of the best to ever lace them up and Breanna Stewart and her teammates are witnessing why first hand. The Storm had a dynamite regular season and deserve to play for a championship but betting against Taurasi is not a smart move right now (or ever really) so take the Mercury to either win this one or battle to the final whistle.
Best of Luck

MLB | Cardinals vs Nationals
Play on: Cardinals +115 at 5Dimes
Jack’s Free Pick Tuesday: St. Louis Cardinals +115
The St. Louis Cardinals are battling to secure a wild card spot and stay alive in the NL Central race. They have a lot more to play for right now than the Washington Nationals. And the Cardinals certainly have the advantage on the mound tonight.
John Gant is 6-5 with a 3.34 ERA and 1.211 WHIP in 14 starts and seven relief appearances for the Cardinals this season. He’ll be opposed by Erick Fedde, who is 1-3 with a 5.79 ERA and 1.607 WHIP in six starts for the Nationals. Fedde is averaging just 4.7 innings per start.
St. Louis is 14-2 after scoring 4 runs or less in three straight games this season. The Cardinals are 15-3 following a one-run loss this season. St. Louis is 10-2 in its last 12 road games. The Nationals are 0-6 in Fedde’s last six home starts. Bet the Cardinals Tuesday.

MLB | LAA vs TEX
Play on: OVER 9 -116

In three career starts at Globe Life Park, Heaney the Angels starter is 0-3 with a 10.38 ERA, his highest ERA of any ballpark. Meanwhile,Minor the Rangers starter is without a decision with a 5.68 ERA in three career games, one of them starts, against the Angels .Minor made two relief appearances versus the Angels last season with he was with Kansas City, going 0-0 with a 6.75 ERA. Both pitchers have pitched decently lately, but my own power rankings suggest they do not matchup well vs these teams batting orders and a higher scoring game than the lines makers are projecting is a good bet considering the inconsistencies of both bullpens when called upon.
Over is 4-1 in Heaneys last 5 starts vs. a team with a losing record.Over is 4-1 in Heaneys last 5 starts overall.Over is 7-2 in Heaneys last 9 road starts vs. a team with a losing record.
Over is 13-5 in Rangers last 18 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.Over is 9-2 in Rangers last 11 home games vs. a team with a losing record.Over is 4-1-1 in Rangers last 6 home games vs. a left-handed starter.Over is 4-1 in Heaneys last 5 starts vs. Rangers.
The Rangers have gone OVER 6 straight times as a favorite after they had more strikeouts than hits. The average final score in these six games with a combined average of 1784 rpg scored.
MLB teams where the total is 8.5 to 10 (LA ANGELS) - team with a terrible OBP (.310 or less against a very good starting pitcher (WHIP 1.300 or better) -AL, with a starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.200 or better on the season-AL are 88-45 OVER L/5 seasons for a 67% conversion rate for bettors on the blind.

MLB | Rays vs Blue Jays
Play on: Rays -119 at betonline

Dave’s Tuesday Bonus Play:
1* on Tampa Bay Rays -119
The Key: The Rays are 12-2 in their last 14 games overall. They have knocked off some good teams along the way and are playing out their season with pride. They are now 74-63 on the season and aren’t showing any signs of slowing up. Their bullpen strategy is paying off, making other teams think about the way they are going about it. The Blue Jays recently traded their best player in Josh Donaldson, and they’re clearly just playing out the string at 62-75 on the season and 2-6 in their last 8 games overall. Ryan Borucki is 3-3 with a 4.52 ERA and 1.54 WHIP in 12 starts this year for the Blue Jays, including 1-1 with a 10.03 ERA and 1.89 WHIP in his last 3 outings. The Rays are 11-1 in their last 12 games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30. Take Tampa Bay.

MLB | Cubs vs Brewers
Play on: Brewers -103 at YouWager

1 Unit Bonus Play on Milwaukee Brewers -103
The Brewers are trying to chase down the Cubs in the NL Central. They are only four games back after winning a thriller yesterday with a walk off in the 9th inning. Now they send the unheralded Wade Miley to the mound to get the job done tonight. Miley is 2-2 with a 2.19 ERA in 11 starts for the Brewers this season. Mike Montgomery is 2-2 with a 3.89 ERA in eight road starts for the Cubs this year. But Montgomery has never beaten the Brewers. He is 0-3 with a 5.91 ERA in five previous starts against them, and the Cubs are 0-5 in those five starts. Give me the Brewers.

MLB | Twins vs Astros
Play on: Astros -1½ -140 at BMaker

10* FREE MLB PICK (Astros -1.5, -140)
We cashed in on the Astros on the -1.5 run line with our free pick on Monday and I see no reason not to go back to the well and take Houston to win by at least 2 runs on Tuesday. The Astros are making a late season push and have won 3 straight and 10 of their last 13 overall. Minnesota has nothing to play for and it shows, as they have gone just 2-8 in their last 10. Hard to see the Twins keeping this one close, as they will send out reliever Trevor May, who hasn't started in the big leagues since 2015. Houston should exploit Minnesota's attempt to go at this game with releivers and put up a big number here for ace Justin Verlander. Give me the Astros -1.5, -140!

Tuesday's comp play release will be the Yankees and the Athletics to squeeze Over the total in their second of three games.
Yesterday's game inched over the posted price of 8 1/2 runs, as New York has now landed Over the total in their last pair of games, and 4 of 5 overall. As for Oakland, they have played Over the total in 4 in a row now, and 6 of their last 8.
J.A. Happ did have his first rough start in a Yankees uniform his last time out, and the fact remains his ERA for the season is right at 4.00. The Over is 17-6-3 when he makes the start this year.
Liam Hendricks will make just his second start of the season for Oakland, as he lasted under 2 innings against Seattle his last time out with 2 runs on 2 hits.
I can see this game see-sawing back-and-forth tonight, with each team pushing across a run or two until we are right at and then Over the total.
Yanks-A's Over we go for a second straight day.

Bonus Play for Tuesday is the same as it was for Monday, and that is the Boston Red Sox and the Atlanta Braves to play Over the total.
It took a while yesterday, but an 8-2 Boston win did indeed land Over the total.
That makes all 3 series meetings this year having landed Over the total, and with the pitching matchup featured tonight, we should see another series Over.
Rick Porcello will make the start for the Red Sox, and he has an ERA of 6.35 for his last 3 starts, 2 of the 3 landing Over the posted price. For the season, the Over stands at 16-10-2 when he makes the start.
Atlanta sends Sean Newcomb to the hill, and it sure looks like the youngster has hit that wall, as he has allowed 18 runs and 31 hits over his last 19-plus innings pitched. 3 of those 4 starts have played Over the total as well.
Expect the runs to once again add up to an Over at Sun Trust Park.

3* BOSTON-ATLANTA OVER
