Man, that reallly depends. If you want to be close the the mtns, I would get an apartment in Boulder or Nederland. Probably $700 at least for a one bedroom. If you want to be down here in the city, you can get a place for probably $600. The rental market here is really strong, so those prices may go up.

Would you guys suggest the city, or the burbs? I like the city life, but how is the crime down there? I remember TT saying gangs flourished in Denver

 He'd lose his mind in Ned. I don't think Bigbet is up for living in a hippie commune. Great place to visit, but I'm not sure that I could even live up there.

If you're serious, I'd start with a place on Capitol Hill(just south of downtown).

The gangs really aren't a problem if you stay out of the ghetto(and aren't in LoDo at 2am when they open fire at bar close).

I live in Cherry Creek, which is just South of downtown. I love it here. No crime whatsoever, but TT is right, there are certain areas of downtown you don't want to live. I would suggest, if you want to be in Denver, something in the Highlands (North of Denver), Cherry Creek (South), or where TT lives is nice...think he's in Broomfield, which is a quick drive to the Mountains, and very safe, although I've never lived there and don't really know for certain.

Here's a link to the area I live in:

Haha...I lived on 11th and Wash in Cap Hill and had a gang fight in my alley. But that was only one incident the entire time I lived there, which was about 5 years. Funny post about Nederland. I went to CU and spent a lot of time up there. Certainly a hippie commune, but I'm somewhat of a hippie myself. Plus, it's a short trip to Central City/Blackhawk. I know they're voting on raising the mins. in November, so Big Bet would be happy with that.

Yea, I was up in Blackhawk a couple years back, and $5 BJ was not cutting it, how boring. But people were playing it.
