Sure. My office is only 2 blocks away anyhow, so if they do kick in plan B at some point during the day-I'm out the door like lightning.

Yep. I live down there as well, and used to work in the Republic Plaza. We'll see how this plays out, but I'll be at the Tavern regardless. You should have my email on file...write me if you want to meet up.

Now wait a minute.....there has to be a way, doesn't there?

:money8:

Haha. Funny. You know what? My neighbor is friends with Francis' wife, Ally, and they're having similar problems with trying to get tickets for his Canadian folk. The Rox staff (including players) have been allocated 6 tickets. It's unreal that the ace of the staff is online trying to get tickets!!

If you want tickets just wait outside the gate on gameday, look for the guy in the trenchcoat going "pssst, hey buddy."

Rockies to once again sell tickets online
The Colorado Rockies say they will once again sell World Series tickets through their Web site starting on Tuesday at noon. They say the system was brought down on Monday by an "external malicious attack."

I pulled tickets on 3 browsers and couldn't check out and my cart expired. What a joke

been screwing around with this for hours... how did you do it?

I had about 50 browsers open and a couple finally hit.

I actually ended up with 8 seats to Game 5 (Monday night) assuming Col can win a game.

You must mean assuming the Sox can win a game.
But think you are in luck because Beckett will win game 1 and Rockies will be up 3-1.

I'll tell ya one thing. This abrasive asshole of a public relations rep that the Rockies have HAS GOT TO GO!!! I've never seen such a PR disaster-let alone coming from the PR rep!!! What a freakin PRICK.

My God, half of this town wants to hang the jerk. What a disaster.

Im getting hate mail from ads I posted for the tix. I don't blame people for being irate. The Rockies hung their fans out to dry, and people selling the tix aren't to blame. However, maybe more people should've snatched up season tix. It wouldve been worth it to not pay scalpers prices to the WS. The Rockies' fans should be livid

I've spoken to about 50 people this afternoon & am finally putting the pieces together.

Everyone who has out of state friends & relatives has told me that the out of staters got tickets. I'm not talking about 1 block of 4...I'm talking 2-3 blocks for all 3 games.

It's all one big fucking scam. Tourism is huge here, and out of towners who fly in, fill up hotel rooms & eat out obviously pump much more $$$ into the local economy than the locals who go to the game & then go home. This explains why they were so dead set on not selling any tickets from the Coors ticket windows.

Nothing but one big fuck job & it's all about the benjamins.

Couldn't agree more. And Red Sox nation is deep and travels and PAYS. When the Sox played the Pads down here I scooped up a bunch of tix and made a lot of $$$ selling them to Sox fans. The Rockies fans are mad at the wrong people though. They shouldn't be mad at the scalpers charging fortunes for tix. They should be mad at their organization for their moves and should've had season tix. I know last yr when Chargers tix were hot everyone scooped up season tix so they would be assured of possible AFC Championship tix, and now every seat to every game is sold out this yr to season tix holders because of it.

It will be interesting Saturday night. This town is PISSED OFF, and it's only a matter of time until this point of view hits the mainstream media(but I kinda doubt that they'll run with it).

Don't be surprised if downtown Denver looks like the San Diego burbs around the time that the bars close Saturday night. Denver has always been "riot happy", and from what I've heard, riot has already been mentioned on a couple local boards.

This will be interesting

That is some sad shit there TT.. I see what your saying, it makes complete sence... Maybe you could get a bunch of people and take out a full page add in the Denver Post blasting them for this BS? Have someone get all your thoughts down and put it there for all to see, this will get "thier" attention.
