Uhhh, book in summer if you want a room. This happens every year. Short of that try Reno, there is always a good crowd, but not a sold-out crowd. Of course the weather is colder, but you will get about the same atmosphere and betting options while paying half as much, if not less, for your room. In Vegas about your only options are maybe the places down in Jean and Primm, but I hear even those tend to sell out for the Superbowl. Henderson has very few rooms for the most part, don't expect much better luck there. Just remember this particular weekend has less supply of rooms because this is the one time a year that every property goes balls out to get their best customers in house as every good gambler loves the Superbowl. That means probably more comped rooms for the weekend than at any time of the year.

Up untill a few minutes ago i found a room for the 30,31 & feb 1. Primm has those nites for $125.70 total inc. tax. That's less than $42 per nite. About 45 min. from the Strip. Buffalo Bills has the same nites for $104.70. The excalibur has fri. and sunday nites for $140.24 per nite, another option.
Go to lasvegasadvisor.com and use the free travelaxe.com search engine that is very easy to use. Enter only the arriving date and the # of nites needed.
Incidentally, even is you only go to vegas once a year, you should take a Las Veagas Advisor 2004 Pocket Book Of Values. It pays for it self many times over in just one visit.One coupon alone saves me $50 at the Palms Hotel. Can be used for dining including drinks or on room charges. Plus all the match play coupons, show tix etc.
