One of the main things people would criticize Obama for in his 8 years of office was his failure to unite people that were divided over issues such as racism.

Obama seemed to not only try not to stop the division.
In some ways he seemed to encourage it.

Obama had a golden opportunity to advance race relations by decades.
Now I think we are further off then we were 8 years ago.

But here's the problem.

Trump is doing the same exact thing on the other side of the spectrum.

So now we have 8 years of one guy dividing people one way and at least 4 years of the next guy dividing people the other way.
