Personally I didn't think the show was that bad. It started a little slow but picked up. I think the first season was a little the same in that regard. Acting was very good outside of Vince Vaughn. Farrell, McAdams, and Kitsch are good actors although am I the only one who had to play it back a few times to understand Ray's mumbling. The ending kind of pissed me off because of Ray getting wasted. You knew he was heading to see his kid as soon as you saw him driving down the highway. Reminded me of Deniro in Heat. Now we have a year to figure out who will be the actors in year 3.

Nowhere near as good as season 1, but I did think the show picked up some during the past 3 episodes. Frank's long drawn out desert death walk with vultures following his footsteps was a bit much, but overall I thought the ending was fine. Sorry to see Ray get wasted, but not exactly a surprise. You knew he was toast when he gave his kid the final salute. Imo very sad that Ray loved his kid so much, but didn't live to be given validation as the father.

C'mon, this season two was a total waste of time and an embarrassment compared to season one. Vince Vaughn is a terrible actor, and an even worse bad guy. And his character should have been a minor character in the show. You could have cut 95% of his screen time and he would have never been missed. There were also too many characters in the show going all different directions. Plus what went on in the last 30 minutes was just silly. They had two random cars for the getaway, yet Mexicans somehow locate Frank and the coppers find Ray. I could have possibly believed the cops finding Ray at his kid's school, but how the hell in a giant city did the hombres find Frank? This was really a stinky second season, and a total miss for HBO.

wasn't what I expected but ok with the season overall... agree that the Ray ending reminded me of the " Heat " ending.. Vaughn was ok..He wasn't that bad... I would grade it a B

I agree, I give it a B-. Vince wasn't as bad as people are saying IMO. He's not the greatest actor, but wasn't bad. Everyone likes Farrel, but I have a hard time understanding him, he mumbles a lot. Thought the side Characters were the better actors in this.

Frank's end in the desert was a bit much with the hallucinations.

I don't know how the mexicans found Frank either, presumably they want you to believe those last guys who provided the passports game him up? I don't know. I also don't know exactly why the Mexicans were so pissed or what they were even doing in this season except being used as a clunky plot facilitator.
