Truck pulls up to the pump and the driver says to the attendent give me a $1,000 worth of regular..
wil..:monsters-
Thats the way its been for years...99% of all truckers that work for a company(not an idependent) use a fuel service company like ComData (
www.comdata.com) or Fuelman, ect..and never pay out of their pocket.
These companies work w/ the fuel station to take their transactions.
1. The trucker will pull up to a telecom
2. The trucker will give his comdata number( a series or numbers that wil allow him to buy fuel without actually paying for it. Comdata will bill the trucking company)
3. after he gives the number he fills up and goes back in and signs the paperwork. Some dont even have to go back in.
This has become the mainstay in the last 10 years because companies like Comdata will allow a trucking company to itemize the transactions so that when they pay their fuel taxes it's nice and easy. Each trucking company has to pay each state their fuel tax seperate....lots of hassle
