You have not yet seen Florida Atlantic's offense against a below average defense like Troy. The rest of their games have been against much better D's. The Owls can score against lesser SBC teams just fine.

Far from great but definitely good. Last year was a rebuilding year for the defense but this team constantly puts up solid defensive fronts. They held down both Kentucky and Maryland earlier this year so they are no slouches.
Another huge thing I forgot to point out in my writeup is that Florida Atlantic center Nick Paris is healthy and playing in his first game of the season. Lots of players have said the offense has been slow because of his loss and his return will be HUGE.
Troy's defense on the season comes in slightly better than MTSU's so far. The Trojans have averaged a few more points allowed per game but are better in both total yards allowed and average yards per play.

Troy's D dominated Alcorn State and did well against Middle Tennessee (who has no offense and dinged offensive line) but were crushed by Oklahoma State (the offense most similar to Florida Altantic's that they've played) and didn't do anything special against an Ohio State team that was playing it safe and getting ready for next week. The Buckeyes could have put up a ton more points if they felt the need but didn't want to risk injuries.
Folks...it rains all the time here in the afternoon
The rain in florida, barring a hurricane, comes and goes. You can call down here every day around 3pm and it is raining somewhere. Then nothing and since it is so BALL SWEATING HOT, it drys up in like a minute.
