I have a hard time believe this....

"One report says the rift involves a power struggle over who deserves the most credit for the team's dynasty.
"

My guess is this is a completely fabricated story.

Sounds unlike all involved, they are all too professional to let egos get in the way. Wouldn't put it past ESPN, they badly need a rating boost

I think the biggest trouble is a 40 y/o QB and a 65 y/o HC.

If Brady wins another, I mean Bill, no wait, if Kraft wins another SB, will Brady hang up the cleats and retire?

I believe a part of the story, but not the part where they are fighting as to who takes credit for what they have done over the past 15 years.
Think that part is stupid or something might have been said and they twisted into meaning that for headlines.

Like Brady could have said to Kraft, Hey what I've done for the team and helped put a few Super Bowl rings on your hand, You Owe me !

The part I believe is that Brady went to Kraft and said I want to continue to play for the next 2-3 years and Bill wants to bring JimmyG in for a part of next season
to groom him into my replacement. But I'm not ready to retire

There was a rumor going around when they made the trade to the 49ers that there was something wrong with it. Something smelled ...
It's not the Pats style to just get a 2nd rounder for Brady's possible replacement. unless of course Jimmy G was going backwards, somehow.
But as we have seen, that's just not the case.

It also left Brady as the only QB on the team at that time. But they did go out and pick up Hoyer
But if you are headed to the Playoffs ( and that was a Slam dunk ) would you rather have Brian Hoyer backing you up, or JimmyG, the one that knows the program
like the back of his hand ??
Think I would want the guy that's been there for the past 3 years

Funny how most the Pats fans around here didn't care that he was traded, and said he was just avg.
But I'll give credit to the ones that said Brady ain't going nowhere, because that's what happening here.

oh and I also believe the Belichick cutting off Brady's trainer from the team and games, etc was his Payback to Brady

My 2 cents

To me the backup doesn’t matter because they aren’t winning without Brady. JG got his chance and lasted a game and a half. Fragile QB is a recipe for disaster. Kraft knows he owes Brady big time for taking less to keep the team at a high level. I would not be surprised to see Brady get a piece of the team when he quits and move right into the front office for a couple of years before he becomes POTUS.

This. I’m sure there was something between the Pats and Brady’s personal trainer, who was banned. It sounds more like people looking for a story that really isn’t there.

The story reads as if Belichick is leaving at the end of this season.

If Kraft really did pressure the front office to trade Jimmy G, he's a complete idiot.

If I were a 65-year-old Hall of Fame coach and my HOF QB was going to be retiring soon, I wouldn't want to start over with a young unproven QB. There has to be some truth to the fact that when Brady retires, BB would feel his legacy may be tarnished by a diminished product on the field. I don't think he wants to have that happen.

All bullshit, just authors trying to gain attention by turning mole hills into the Rocky Mountains. Is this the 50th time their world is ending?

I laugh at this shit, AGAIN & AGAIN & AGAIN.

13-3 SU, 11-5 ATA, the one seed in the AFC. WTF are they supposed to do?

Is Brady really supposed to be perfect? How many times does Belichick have to prove all the media ASSHOLES wrong with the moves he makes?

Their run will end, every run ends, and it's obvious the two GOATS are on the back nine, but it's not over yet.

When it does end, the media members who were proven wrong at least ten times each will boast about seeing this all along, how obvious it was. That's how fucking idiots roll.

I don't think this stuff is far off the mark Willie. I also don't think anyone is taking away the talent of either guy.
But I believe this story has legs. and believe the Hoodie and a couple of other coaches Won't be there next season.

and Brady will go down as the Best QB in NFL History, Thanks to Belichick

Kraft just buried his team for the next 20 years if true .

From what I read it sounds like BB wanted to keep JG and kraft forced him to trade him .

If that’s the case the dynasty is over .

This is the very end of the run .

San Fran will win 11 games next year and NE will lose at least 7.

Dumbest trade in NFL history .

At least I know I can’t blame the coach .

It was krafts fault .

I hope Kraft remembers this when they spend the next 20 years looking for a qb like Miami has been doing .

While watching San Fran win Super Bowls with an all pro qb

Kraft is a smart man, and he let Belichick make all those supposedly "controversial" roster moves he made for a long long long time already. It's Bill's team and will always be Bill's team for as long as he chooses.

At age 65, does anyone really believe Belichick is going to take another job and rebuild to his liking from ground zero?

Seriously?

You're a broken record that's batting zero zero zero with respect to the Patriots.

Even your stone cold locks already done deals have gone down in flames.

I don't think every other poster combined as been more wrong about the Patriots than you have.
