But Attucks was on a minted special edition silver dollar in 1998. However that was not a real circulating coin like the Ellington quarter will be.

With the word ANY, I'm clearly correct !

The quarters are actually commemerative coins as well, just made in sufficient quantities to circulate freely, unlike earlier coins featuring Negros, that I posted earlier.

Really, we have only three coins in the US:

nickel
dime
quarter

halves don't circulate
dollar coins are a joke
pennies are going away

not much room to replace Jefferson,FDR,and Washington !, on coins.
