I thought you meant season...pretty sure Brock broke Wills record at that time....modern day record.

He held the record for most consecutive scoreless world series innings.

Interestingly, one player was on one of the teams involved in the games when that record, Ruth's single season HR record and career HR record were broken, who is that player? very obscure question but the guy was prominently involved in the breaking of one of the records.

Another question, who are the only 2 players to have played for Yankees, Mets, Dodgers and Giants? I think it is still only two, it was as of a couple of years ago.

No, Brock broke Cobbs record for career steals, not Hamilton.

Here is the list of leaders

Now that I think about it, you are correct, stolen bases were determined differently in Hamilton's era so I don't think they counted those players. Guys got an SB if they took 2 bases on a single or 3 on a double, so anyone scoring from second on a single was credited with an SB.

I was just doing research on this myself and saw Hamilton ahead. This was one of those aflack questions earlier in the week on one of the games so I was confused when I saw that list.....

I think your explanation is right as I'm getting Brock broke Cobbs record on various Brock biographies...
